Here are a few things we love about 𝕴the game, as well as a few we really dislike.
10 𒈔 BEST: Junior Assassin's Creed Odyssey ꦉ
Fenyx Rising was made by the same team behind Assassin's Creed Odyssey and it really shows — but that's not a bad thing. It's like they created this junior version of Odyssey that kids could enjoy (as well as adults), and it has many of the same 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:gameplay features.
You'll find yourself climbing atop statꦆues to survey the land around you and defog the map, your climbing skills are very assassin-esque, many of the abilities are similar to Odyssey, and lots more. There's even an achievement/trophy titled "Join the𝐆 Creed" for performing 10 stealth attacks.
9 ꧒ ﷽ WORST: The Assassin's Creed Curse
Unfortunately, the similarities to Odyssey are both good and bad in that Fenyx Rising suffers from the curse of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin's Creed games — your character inexplicably jumping on walls when you're trying to♋ do something els💦e.
It's a bit of a pain, as it is in any Creed game. You want to jump up to something, or over something, and the next thing you know you're clinging to a wall for no 𒁃reason. Additionally, there are times when your character gets stuck on invisible nothingness that sho💧uldn't stop you from climbing, but it does. You have to climb all the way back up again and the nothingness is suddenly gone.
8 BES♌T: Humor ⛦
Fenyx Rising is filled to the brim with humor from the very get-go of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:opening scenes and a near-immediate game over fake-out when you start to play. If you love and have knowledge of Greek myt𒁏hology, you'll find it even funni𒀰er too. But even if you don't know much about Greek legends, the quippy dual narration of Zeus and Prometheus is hilarious.
The humor is involved in even the smallest areas of the games, for example, choosing eyebrows while in character creation; if you choose thick brows, Zeus will comment, "they were as thick as Narcissus," but if you choose slim ones he will say, "they wer♕e as thin as Tantalus."
7 ♛ WORST: Fast Trave⛎l Overwrite
There's a particularly annoying issue whe🐟re if a quest is activ🍸e too close to a Fast Travel location, it will block it out. For example, there was a timed Hermes quest to race from the top of Aphrodite's statue to her temple.
As this quest began on her statue, you couldn't select the statue to Fast Travel to it, you could only select the quest marker. This is increasingly frustrating if you happen to keep failing said 🐻quest, and then need to ret🔜urn to the statue each time to try again... without Fast Travel... climbing all the way to the top each time.
6 ꧋ BEST: Destruc෴tible Environment
One of the best things about Fenyx Rising is that most of the environment around you is destructible. You can cleave down trees, smash up rocks, and what's great about it is that you can then use your herculean strength to throw them at enemieꦰs.
There are even parts of the game where you come across unfinished marble blocks, which when broken, reveal the finished statue. Added incentives are 🐻that sometimes you can find items by breaking things, the downside is, you 𓂃can destroy the bush you were hiding in to avoid enemies.
5 WORST: Combౠat M🙈echanics
There are some combat mechanics that as a player you just... expect. For example, if you hit a cyclops in the eye,꧋ not only do you think it'll do more♚ damage, but that it might even stagger backward in pain for a second too. But nope.
While you can get an upgrade later that causes headshots to do more damage, there are a few combat areas where a little more attention to detail would have gone a long way. Another one is that the Gorgons never actually petrify you (though in the plot they have petrified everyone else). A few seconds of petrification is a norm in a lot of games but this somehow skipped the one game with the monsters that petrify people into sto💎ne.
4 BEST: It Encourages Exploration 🌟
Though the is small when you compare it to the likes of Odyssey, Fenyx Rising is just as effective in encouraging players to stray from the beaten track of the main storyline and explore all that the wor⭕ld has to offer.
There are so many interesting facets of the world, unique side que꧒sts that aren't flagged unless you stumble upon them, and of course, lots of loot to be had. For example, you encounter blue shades of the deceased at t𒀰imes, and walking through them makes them disappear. However, there are areas where you can help these ghosts cross over by fulfilling certain tasks.
3 WORST: You Can't Jump Whi🌊le Mou𓃲nted
This is a particular bugbear with players as it's simply instinct to press jump when coming up to an obstacle when mounted, but all that will do will make you dismount from your ride, rather than have your mount actually jump. Mo🅰unts will automatically jump over and down to certain areas (to an extent), but you just have to fight the urge to press the jump button yourself.
And while we're on the matter of mounts, there is more than one pegasus mount, yet none can fly. Considering your own character is equipped w♌ith wings, surely the same mechanic could be used?
2 BEST: Accessible Difficulty for All ♉
While there are often many debates as to whether a game shou🌠ld be played on its default or not, tไhe fact is, having different difficulties available makes the game more accessible to everyone.
As mentioned earlier, this is an ideal game for kids as much as adults really, but if your child struggles with combat, then you can simply choose the story mode. Then they can still enjoy the story, exploration, all while getting to feel like they're kicking butt. On the flip side, if you want to torture yourself more than 💞Zeus tortured Prometheus, you can go for hard or even nightmare mode.
1 🅘 WORST: Far Sight
The most boring thing in this game is the Far Sight ability. You essentially scan your surroundings and zoom in at the mere flicker of something interesting. Uncov𓄧ering everything nearby takes a lot of time and patience and it's utterly boring.
You c💧an simply not use Far Sight and hope to stumble across all chests, puzzles, and everything else, but if you're a completionist... well, you kinda have to. On that note, not having a key as to what o𝓰n the map is discovered/undiscovered is rather unhelpful.
