Mounts are a bit of a hidden mechanic in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Immortals Fenyx Rising. Unless you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:played the demo or fastidiously read the load screen tooltips, youཧ may not have even been aware that mounts were in the game at all. While some mounts are rewarded for mid and late-game quests and there are plenty of others available in the in-game store - which uses real money - the standard way of acquiring new mounts is to find one in the wild, sneak up on it, and press Y/triangle when you get close enough. There are 26 different mounts to find and collect throughout the game, but unfortunately, the mount selection is pretty disappointi꧂ng for the most part. The coolest type of mount in Immortals, the pegasus, can't even fly.

Admittedly I'm kind of a nut for mounts. I have over 200 mounts in World of Warcraft and when I found out Immortals had collectible mounts I knew I was going to love this game. Like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild, mounts are found across the open plains and majestic countrysi🐼des of Immortals, ready to be tamed in order to make traveling around the world a bit easier. In Breath of the Wild, I found ꦬthe mounts to be a bit burdensome because of the stable mechanic. I generally ignored them in favor of fast travel and Link's trusty Paraglider. In Immortals, on the other hand, mount usage is a breeze.

Summoning a mount is as simple as holding one button to jump into the air while it magically appears beneath you. You can ride the mount for as long as you'd like and then just ditch it where you want. I found one of my favorites ways to get around is to ride the mount straight at a wall, launch myself off the mount to climb the wall, then resummon the mount before I even hit the ground on the other side. I think, technically, fast traveling to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:vantage points and then flying around w🔴ith the Wings of Daidalos is more efficient, but it's a๊ lot more fun to run around the world at ground level. There's just so much to see and appreciate in Immortals and riding a mount is the best way to do it.

I finished both Aphrodite and Athena's stories before I ever even saw a mount, despite the fact that I knew they were in the game and I was on the lookout for them. The first mount I eventually found was a brown horse called Bolt. A perfectly fi𒁃ne starter mount, Bolt has one bar of Stamina and kicked off my collection. Next, I found a horse called Sepia. This horse was also brown but with some white squiggly lines on its mane. Then I fou🔯nd a yellow horse, then a black horse, then a zebra, which is essentially just a striped horse. Eventually, I found a unicorn, which I initially mistook for a horse, before finally finding a pegasus, which I immediately recognized as a horse with wings.

The other type of mount is a de𝓀er. You can find a brown deer, a white deer, a grey deer, and another, slightly darker brown deer. If you're being generous, there are four types of mounts to collect: deer, horse, unicorn, and pegasus. If you ask me though, that's just two animals with different accessories. There are some cool ones to find like a pink glowing deer and a metal pegasus, but as far as unique models go, that's all there is.

Part of my disappointment comes from🦹 the fact that the game is full of awesome creatures that seem like they'd make great mou✅nts. There are boars, lions, and bears in abundance. I tried to tame them all but all of these creatures can only be killed.

Greek mythology is full of so many magical creatures. Griffins, manticores, hippogriffs, centaurs, Cerberus, and even dragons all orig🍬inated in literature from Ancient Greece. Some of these creatures appear in the game as enemies and boss monsters, but none of them are tamable or rideable. The horses and deer that can be tamed would fit into just about any open-world game, which is why when you consider that so much of Immortals gets Greek Mythology right, it's pretty shocking to see so little attention paid to the mounts.

And then there's the pegasus problem. I naively thought the horse with wings was going to be able to fly in a similar way that Fenyx can glide with the Wings of Daidalos. I fast traveled to a vantage point and discovere💙d you can't even summon a mount if you aren't on the ground. Still in disbelief that the pegasus can't fly, I went down to sea level and mounted up. I started galloping at full speed towards a ravine and ran right off the edge. The pegasus opened its wings a little bit right before it nose-dived stra🌳ight into the ground.

If you take a far enough🔯 fall, like off the eastern side of the map, the mount will just disappear in a puff of smoke. I don't know if there's precedent in Greek mythology for a flightless pegasus, but I, for one, am not a fan. The gliding mechanics are clearly already there with the Wings of Daidalos, so it's weird to see a winged horse being completely flightless.

Admittedly, there are tons of cool mounts in the real money store, and you can even complete daily missions to earn the game's hard currency if you really want a flaming horse or a deer 𒐪wearing armor. There's also a season pass available, so it's possible that cool new mounts will be added later on. I have a little hope, but not much♔. If Immortals 2 ever happens, I sure hope there's a better variety of mounts, as opposed to just yellow horse or slightly yellower horse.
