Lead game designer Jerk Gustafsson notes that one of the plot beats for the game is that Indy is "adrift" an🌌d "sort of lost again" after separating from Maron following the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark. It also reveals that the story begins after Indiana Jones falls asleep at his desk and is awoken by a "coloꦅssal man" named Locus, who is played by Tony Todd, the voice of Venom in Spider-Man 2.
