168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Injustice 2 continues the series' ongoing story of a Justice League fractured. Batman and Superman are at odds over their stances on violence and power, and lines have been drawn among DC's heroes over who supports Batman's Insurgency or Superman's Regime. But when Brainiac attacks Earth and proves more than Batman can handle, the heroes must put their differences aside. What unfolds is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a compelling story that showcases its huge roster of characters in entertaining and cre♒ative ways.

Injustice 2 also knows it's a video game and doesn't always strive to make perfect sense. Setting aside the most obvious issue—that the more human characters would never stand a chance against those with superpowers (as the first 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Injustice did explain this, sort of, with ability-enhancing nanotech pills)—here are some of Injustice 2's most head-scratching or delightfully absurd moments.

10 🎉 Why Is Joker Here?

Joker's Entrance In Injustice 2

Joker died in the first Injustice, so how is he back for this one? There are multiple universes in the Injustice story, and sometimes there can be more than one version of the same character, but that doesn't seem to be what's happening here. Even in the main story, Joker is gone—although he does get a cameo fight when Harley hallucinates while on Scarecrow's fear toxin.

Joker is a popular character, though, so his inclusion was inevitable. And because any fights outside the story wouldn't be considered canon, it makes sense to have him back.

9 How Did Brainiac Not Know Supergirl Escaped Krypton? 🐽

Supergirl Escapes Krypton As Brainiac's Robots Attack Her Mother

In the first scene of Injustice 2's story, we see Supergirl's mother launch her and her cousin (Superman) into space to escape Brainiac's assault on Krypton. Brainiac leaves under the impression he has eliminated all the Kryptonians and only later realizes he missed a few.

But how did he not know that? His beta forces break into the room just as Supergirl is escaping. They see it happen. Surely Brainiac would be able to access the same information they have, or they would've just told him when they got back to the ship.

8 🦩 🦋 Batman Gets Very Lucky

Batman Falling Through The Sky In Injustice 2

Batman deserves a lot of credit for holding his own as well as he does for a guy with no superpowers. Even with the effect of the nanotech pills, the story still portrays him as more vulnerable against the likes of Superman and Brainiac. But for all his efforts, he also gets the benefit of villains who just don't kill him when it seems they have the chance.

At one point, Brainiac thinks he has strangled Batman and tosses him away, only to be surprised when it turns out, nope, he's still alive. In another scene, Black Adam, holding Batman high in the air above the city, has the chance to do pretty much anything he wants to destroy Batman with all the godlike powers at his disposal, and instead, he decides to just…drop him. Not surprisingly, Batman can, uh, glide to safety, and Black Adam returns to try to finish the job on the ground. Oops.

7 Gorilla Grodd Can Read Minds… But Not Catwoman's

Injustice 2's Gorilla Grodd Entering Scene

In addition to his immense strength, Gorilla Grodd also has various mental powers, including telekinesis, mind control, and telepathy. He will even sometimes tell other characters during a battle that he can read their thoughts. Still, this doesn't extend to everyone, and he occasionally admits that Batman, Harley, and Catwoman are unreadable.

It could be that these characters are just more cunning or unpredictable, and that scrambles Grodd's thought radar. But it is also awfully convenient for the plot that it allows Catwoman to be a mole among his society of supervillains without him knowing. Grodd's inability to read her mind is never directly mentioned in the story, though, so giving him a throwaway quote saying her mind is unreadable in other modes feels a bit like a plot hole dodge. Besides, if she's one of the only people whose minds he can't read, why did he trust her so much in the first place?

6 Flash's Super That Hits You With… Yourself

The Flash running at high speeds in Injustice 2

The super moves in Injustice are fantastic, ridiculous spectacles where the characters get to show off the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:true extent of their powers. And for The Flash, he goes so fast he takes the opponent back in time, hitting them against the Sphinx and a dinosaur, before colliding with another oncomin🔯g Flash in the present and hitting your character against themselves.

It's so trippy it's hard to comprehend what is even happening here. So just bask in its wonderful weirdness, and don't think too hard about his shameless disregard for ancient monuments or all the plot holes a time-traveling character can open up.

5 Supergirl And Superman's Reunion

Supergirl Looks At Imprisoned Superman In Injustice 2

When Superman finally sees Supergirl for the first time, he is reunited with a cousin he thought he had lost as a child. He has gone his whole life believing himself to be the only surviving member of his home planet, but now he realizes he is not alone. And it's surprisingly not that big a deal to him.

Upon seeing her, Superman does seem struck by how similar his cousin looks to how she did when he was a baby. (Apparently, he has a super memory, too.) But as strong as the voice acting generally is in Injustice 2, something about the tone feels off here. It's more like he was reacquainted with an old friend, rather than seeing a cousin he thought was murdered years ago.

4 Cheetah's Gun

Cheetah Holding A Massive Gun In Injustice 2

Cheetah 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:isn't as powerful as some of the villains in Injustice 2, and she's more of a minor henchwoman to Grodd in the story. Yet she makes quite an entrance when she shows up at the start of Wonder Woman and Supergirl's story packing a massive gun that blasts Wonder Woman through a nearby building.

The game never explains where this gun came from, and it never appears again. (Chekhov's gun, this is not.) But Cheetah is considered a lower-tier character in competitive rankings, so maybe she should start taking that thing to tournaments with her.

3 💝 ✱ That Part Where Firestorm Almost Blows Everyone Up

Firestorm Prepares An Explosion In Injustice 2

Firestorm is a fusion of two men in one body—cocky teenager Jason Rusch and physicist Dr. Martin Stein, whom he hears in his head. When it looks like Superman's allies are going to spring Supes from prison, Stein convinces Jason that the best plan is to just blow them all up in a massive nuclear explosion, which Jason readily agrees to.

As Jason prepares the blast, fortunately, Batman steps in and tells him to knock it off, and the plan is quickly abandoned. It's an odd, unintentionally humorous moment, and it shows why Firestorm is not exactly a DC household name.

2 Bane's Fragile Venom Tubes

Injustice 2 Bane On Ground Defeated

Bane is one of the mo♋st physically powerful characters in the Batman universe, but he derives his strength from the drug Venom, which he pumps directly into his brain through a set of tubes. Thus, a classic way for Batman and others to defeat him is to sever these tubes and render him powerless.

That's exactly what Green Arrow and Black Canary do in Injustice 2's story, either with an arrow or a knife, depending on whom you've chosen. But if the tubes are so flimsy, how is it that these tubes are not immediately shredded against the blades, fire, electricity, energy blasts, and more that he faces during his fights against other characters? This feels like something that could've been explained--maybe he reinforces the tubes somehow?--but right now, it isn't clear.

1 Aquaman Summoning Tentacles Everywhere 💫

Injustice 2 Aquaman Summoning Tentacle From Floor

Even in his more serious incarnations, Aquaman's ability to control marine life is always a little funny, and Injustice 2 strikes the perfect tone with him. One of his moves allows him to summon an octopus tentacle out of the ground, no matter what surface he's on. It's hilarious, and since it tracks to your opponent's location, it's also a terrific zoning tool.

His nemesis Black Manta can also dive through any floor as if it's water. None of this makes any sense, but they're some of the best examples of Injustice 2 just embracing its video game absurdity.
