An insider has claimed that Alan ꧅Wake Remastered is more than just a remaster, and will🃏 likely lead to a fully-fledged sequel.
, industry insider and GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb shared his thoughts during a recent Giant Bomb stream. According to Grubb, the Finnish studio is “planning an Alan Wake sequel” which has already been greenlit at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Remedy Entertainment. The insider confirmed that Remedy is working with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Epic Games on producing Alan Wake 2, which might imply some sor🌄t of﷽ exclusivity.
Grubb added “Remedy is really busy,” which is hardly a surprise considering back in March the studio revealed it is working on at least five different titles, with a plan to own at least three long-term franchises by 20🧸25. One of the franchisಌes that Remedy likely wants to be "key" is Alan Wake, and it seems that the remaster is a way for them to take the brand back and to remind people about it before a sequel.
It's worth noting that this isn't the first time that Grubb has pointed out that Alan Wake 2 is being developed with Epic Games as the publisher. Back in March, the reporter made a statement about Epic’s shift in attitude towards exclusivity, with the idea of starting to fund the development of games on its own. At that time, Grubb claimed that Alan Wake 2 will beℱ “the follow up the fans of that series want.”
With all this in mind, it might not be that long until we see some sort of formal announcement about an Alan Wake sequel. It's clear that Remedy has already made some moves towards the game's development, and it seems like the remaster is the perfect way to drum up excitement.
Alan Wake Remastered will include the base game and two expansions, The Signal and T🀅he Writer. The remaster of the 11-year-old game will be available next month on🌞 October 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
