Thanks to extensive negotiations between the two companies, Marvel Studios and Sony have now finally reached an agreement to complete one more Spider-Man film to mark a trilogy kicked off by 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming. He'll also appear in one more MCU film. This comes weeks after the initial devastating report that Sony and Marvel Studios had not come to a deal and that  wouldn't appear in t🌱he MCU for the foreseeable future.

This news comes with widespread fan celebration. To continue a Spider-Man saga without the acknowledgment of MCU characters with whom Spidey has interacted, including Captain America, Ant-Man, Falcon, and, above all, Iron Man, would be entirely confusing and incredibly disappointing. Fortunately, this crisis has been diverted and we can now have another Spider-Man film set within the MCU.

But, who should be writing Spidey's final MCU romp? Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home were great action flicks and explored Peter Parker in ways the films that came before hadn't (in many ways). Yet, one of the best Spider-Man stories told in years, if not the best in years, came in 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man for PlaySt💃ation 4. It was a deep, adult tale about a man who found a good balance between life as a superhero and life as an ordinary person, contributing♍ to society in both contexts but experiencing immense pain along the way.

Developed by , Marvel's Spider-Man is one of the best superhero games of all-time and the writing stands as some of the best in the industry. Frankly, it surpasses much of the writing seen throughout the films, though specifically 2007's Spider-Man 3 and the Amazing Spider-Man films. It shines in places never thought possible for a Spider-Man game and, as such, Insomniac Games' writers should be invited to lend t🌠heir talentsꦓ to the next film.

Sure, writing games might be different than writing movies, but the PS4 game had movie-level writing for a Spider-Man setting in which Peter Parker w🐻as now an adult, out of Aunt May's home. This presents a great, fresh opportunity for Insomniac's writers. They've proven 🌠that they can write an adult take on Spider-Man, but now would be there time to show how skillfully they could write a tale about a college-aged Spider-Man. The sense of humor would basically remain constant, but Insomniac would have the opportunity to explore new themes, villains, and, potentially, locales.

Now with the big news out that Spider-Man has at least two more MCU films in him, the time is ripe for new writers to step in to craft a fresh story. Insomniac Games has proven it's up for the task with a superbly-written Spider-Man game and, surely, this could transfer welꦡl into a movieg🏅oing experience.
