While Insurgency: Sandstorm has accumulated a number of modes across its development, there are a few that stand out above the rest. From surviving an onslaught of enemies with nothing but your small team to vying for dominance in a tug-of-war style battle, Insurgency: Sandstorm's best modes offer exhilarating experiences. But which are the ✱best to play, especially for newcomers?

5 Domination ꦅ

If you've played a first-person shooter in the past decade, or even just tried out the recent 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Splitgate with its 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:multitude of excellent game modes, then it's likely you've heard of the mode Domination. Either side fights for control of three points scattered across the map. For each point your team controls, you'll gain points, and whoever reaches the allocated point goal first wins.

Domination is just as fun in Insurgency: Sandstorm as it is in any other first-person shooter. However, where it differs here is in Insurgency: Sandstorm's map size. In games like Splitgate, the map sizes tend to be small and compact, allowing players to rush from one point to another within seconds. In Insurgency: Sandstorm, teams will have to communicate which points they're going to prioritize in order to steal the victory. It is an exhilarating mode and one absolutely worth checking out.

4 Push

Push is an incredibly intense game mode that, like a lot of Insurgency: Sandstorm's modes, requires serious coordination between teammates. The attacking team must capture four points in sequence before destroying a weapons cache at the final fifth point. The defenders mus🍬t do their best to prevent this from happening. However, Push deviates from tradition by only giving the attackers five waves of reinforcements.

The attackers must push forward carefully so they don't lose too many players otherwise the amount of times they can respawn is greatly decreased. By capturing a point they can increase the amount of respawn waves they get. However, should the attacking team struggle in obtaining a point or not coordinate effectively, they'll find themselves quickly outmatched.

3 Checkpoint 💙𓂃

Checkpoint is one of the co-operative modes available in Insurgency: Sandstorm. Instead of fighting against other players, you and your team will be tasked with taking out AI. In Checkpoint, the attacking team must capture objectives and repel any enemy waves that come for them. Similar to Push, the attacking team must work together to help in obtaining and defending objectives to ensure that any lost teammates can return.

Checkpoint is a great mode to play across many of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Insurgency: Sandstorm's brilliant maps. Those with great flow, such as Outskirts, will see players work together across diverse environments making each section of the match feel like their own separate mission. This is an exceptionally fun mode to play with friends and by far one of the best available in the game.

2 Frontline

Not unlike Push, Frontline has the player progress through a series of objectives with their team trying to take each one before destroying the final weapon cache. However, where Frontline differs and therefore exceeds is by having both teams attempt to complete this objective. While Push has an attacking team and a defending team, Frontline has two attacking teams who must also simultaneously attempt to defend their own objectives.

Frontline requires a level of strategy and preparation beyond what many of the other modes require. Attempting to keep your positions safe from the incoming enemy team all while pushing forward and breaking through their defenses is incredibly difficult. Insurgency: Sandstorm's quick time-to-kill also means that defending a point can be extremely difficult. Hiding out in corners won't save you if you're prepared for what's about to come around that corner. Working together with your teammates and ensuring you have each other's backs covered is key to your survival. Without proper teamwork and coordination, you'll almost certainly falter.

1 Survival

Survival is another of Insurgency: Sandstorm's many cooperative modes and is by far the best mode in the game. The premise is simple. The player and their team are dropped into one of Insurgency: Sandstorm's many vast maps and is tasked with surviving against an onslaught of enemy AI. You'll start with nothing but a pistol and must kill the enemy in order to steal their weapons. However, ammunition is in short supply, so you'll have to capture various scattered points across the map in order to replenish your supplies.

Survival is a brutal game mode that is challenging for even the most veteran of players. It requires a lot of teamwork and planning to ensure that no one gets left behind or killed unexpectedly. While it's obvious that working together is a core component of Insurgency: Sandstorm's intense gameplay, in most modes players can go off on their own and fare relatively well. However, in Survival mode, if you don't stick together your team will quickly crumble and you'll lose. This is a fun and challenging mode that is absolutely worth giving a shot.
