One of the pilots added in the Advanced Edition update, Morgan favors aggressive gameplay. With a sufficiently-upgraded mech, she can slice through swarms of Vek and even has the potential to easily one-shot alpha variants.
Morgan's mech becomes Boosted for a turn whenever she successfully destroys an enemy, dealing an extra point of damage with its next attack. Putting her in a mech that damages multiple tiles, like the Cataclysm's Triptych Mech, gives her more chances to earn her Boost and hit more targets with the enhanced damage it grants.

Smart deployment can give your mechs an early advantage, and Gana gives you vastly expanded options before a battle even begins. Gana's early damage can instantly eliminate fragile Vek like Leapers and Bots. They're best placed in Prime-class mechs that can deal heavy damage and take hits until the rest of the squad shows up, or in Science-class mechs that let them confound enemy tactics from behind their lines.

Kai is only available if Advanced Edition content is enabled, which can be done from the hangar before starting a new run. She's the only pilot with an inherent disadvantage, which is there to balance her exceptional skill.
Kai's mech is always Boosted as long as it's at full health, dealing an extra point of damage with every attack. However, if her mech is ever at less than full health, it loses the Boost and moves one fewer square on its turn. Kai is ideally-suited for the Judo Mech, whose melee capabiliꦏtie🎀s and heavy armor let her avoid damage and deal lots of it herself.

Even the best player will make mistakes during a game of Into The Breach. The game excels at setting up situations where sacrifices must be made, and you won't be able to stop all incoming attacks. Isaac Jones doesn't enhance his mech at all until he levels up and learns new skills, but as long as he's present you can reset the field twice per battle. One of the most dangerous situations in the game is when a critical mech is immobilized by Vek webbing. Camilla solves this problem by rendering her mech immune to webs and smoke. This ensures that she's always able to move and fight despite the best efforts of her enemies.
Camilla is especially strong on her home island of RST, where collateral damage can kick up lots of smoke clouds. The Rusting Hulks, RST's mech squad, also make Camilla feel right at home since they generate lots of smoke, which she can safely ignore.

Henry is a hotshot pilot who dramatically enhances the maneuverability of his mech. Henry's mech can move through enemies, letting🌠ꦜ him break through their lines and get where he needs to be.
Henry is best in a Prime-class mech, letting him take advantage of his agility to deal heavy damage where it's needed most. Putting him in a flyer is a waste of his ability, though, so be sure to always assign him to a ground-pounder regardless of class.

He can even shrug off area attacks from your Ranged mechs, so don't be afraid to fire if Abe would be caught in the blast - he can take it. An Alpha or Leader Vek can still deal enough damage to overcome his armor, and he won't survive instant kill attacks, environmental damage, so you can't be too cocky, but as long as you take care to avoid those high-risk scenarios Abe will lead you to victory after victory.
