Joy-Con drift has plagued the Switch since its launch in 2017, spurring memes, cleaning advice, and a class-action lawsuit. It wasn't a problem exclusive to the launch consoles and controllers, either - even brand-new ones often quickly fall victim to the frustrating drifting issues. The Switch Lite, despite being released 2 years after the normal console with presumably some time to figure out the cause of the drifting, also has serious Joy-Con problems. Making matters worse, the Joy-Cons on🅰 those aren't detachable, so if you for some reason can't get them fixed, you're short a $200 console.

Nintendo tried to address the issue last 🍒year by offering free repairs and refunds, but the fact that the well-documented problem managed to carry over into production of the Switch Lite and brand-new Joy-Cons is still a serious concern. What if, speaking hypothetically, all of the repair centers were forced to shut down, and also all of the mail services were overwhelmed with packages, and also everyone had nothing to do but play on their broken Switch all day anyway?

You probably get the idea. Despite Nintendo offering the free repairs, and indeed repairing a lot of people's busted controllers and consoles while it was in effect, they were forced to shut down their repair ce♓nters as a matter of pandemic safety and are only just beginning to open some up again in a limited capacity. This left a lot of people with broken controllers and a question: instead of doing all this, why not just try to fix the clearly flawed hardware?

While they've been a bit cagey on the exact details, Nintendo appears to be changing their tune (no doubt in light of the lawsuit) on the widespread issue. Nintendo's president Shuntaro Furukawa issued 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an apology over ꦚthe drifting issues in June, which indicates that some slightly more permanent measures to address the widespread problem may yet be in the works.

In the meantime, they have a page addressing a few measures you can take to fix it on your own if it's a minor problem, and fans have a few possible fixes circulating as well, ranging from simple cleaning tricks tღo extreme modification. For now, the best way to circumvent drift (for regular Switch owners,🍰 at least) might just be to try using one of the GameCube styled controllers instead, as long as they're compatible with most of the games you're playing.
