When it was announced that a ton of older generation Pokémon wouldn't be coming back in Sword & Shield, fans were distraught. Noℱt only would the entire competitive scene be changing, but fan-favorites and even personal faves migh♌t be at risk of being cut.
ꦑTermed "Dexit," this cut to the roster has been one of the biggest controversies in 𝕴gaming history. Luckily, Game Freak has re-added about a hundred of these missing Pokémon in the Isle of Armor DLC Expansion. There will be more coming in the Crown Tundra later this year, as well. Here are the Pokémon that we are most excited to see again.
10 Porygon
There are a few Pokémon that just always seem to be around, lingering in the background and somewhat forgotten, but always there! Porygon is🅷 arguably one of those Pokémon. Every time it pops up, people have an "oh yeah" feeling in some cases.
However, its presence was notably missed in the base game. Fortunate💫ly, Porygon and its evolutionary relatives have been brought back in the Isle of Armor DLC. The player can get one for free from Hyde after defeating Master Mustard.
9 Scizor
One of the biggest 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all-time fan-favorites and widely considered to be the pinnacle of Pokémon design, Scizor was a heartbreaking loss for many when Sword & Shield released. Despite its double-weakness to Fire, Scizor is used widely in competitive battles and beꦆloved by many.
Luckily, this Steel/Bug-type and its pre-evolution Scyther have both come back to the franchise in the Isle of Armor. Find Scyther in the Training Lowlands in basꦏically any weather. Trade it while it's holding a Metal Coat and it'll evolve.
8 Lycanroc
After how well-loved and widely used Lycanroc was in the competitive scene, it was strange to see it removed only a single generღation later. This Rock-type evolves from Rockruff, an absolutely adorable Pokémon, into one o🐼f three forms.
Luckily, it has returned in the Isle of Armor. Rockruff and two forms of Lycanroc — Midday and Midnight — can all be caught in and around the Isle of Armor,. including the Soothing Wetlands, Challenge Road, Fields of Honor, and Loop Lagoon. For Dusk Form, you'll have to find a Rockruff🐷 with the ability Own Tempo and evolve it.
7 Volcarona
Another sad loss from the series in Generation V favorite Volcarona. Evolving from Larvesta 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:at a record-breaking level 59, Volcarona is a power💫ful Fire/Bug-ty༒pe that many were angered to see missing from the series.
On the Isle of Armor, Volcarona and Larvesta make their triumphant return. They're pretty easy to find, too. Larvesta can be 🐠caught in the Forest of Foc🌺us or Loop Lagoon. Like almost everything else on﷽ this list, they can be found in Max Raid Battl𓄧es as well.
6 Cubone
Poor Cubone. This sad little guy always seems to get the short end of the stick. In its lore, Cubone is said to wear the skull of its💧 dead mother on its head. It's even officially titled the "Lonely Pokémon."
How sad, then, that it was cut from the series in the base game. Fortunately, they've reappeared on the Isle of Armo🐼r and can be loved by fans again. They can be found in the Forest of Focus, but they're very common in the Warm-Up Tunnel.
5 Luxray
Despite unsubstantiated rumors before the release of Sword & Shield that Luxray would be receiving a Galarian form, it sadly did 🅠not make an app🙈earance in Galar at all (even in its original form).
It has reappeared on the Isle of Armor, though, but not in a Galarian form, sadly. Shinx, Luxray's base stage, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:can be found on Challenge𝓀 Road, Challenge Beach, in the Potbottom D🎀esert, or in the Training Lowlands during rain or thunderstorms.
4 ꦇ Fletchling
It was a bit confusing that Fletchling was not in Sword & Shield given the fact that it𝕴's one of the first Pokémon to make an appearance in Galar in any promotional material. Hilariously, its appearance was as a weather vane in the original trꦯailer.
Still, why would it not be included after that? It has now appeared, though, in the Isle of Armor expansion. Find it on Challenge 🧔Road, in the Loop Lagoon, or in the Potbottom Desert, a🐎ll in intense sunlight.
3 Heracross
One of the all-time best and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:most beloved Bug-types is Herac𝓀ross, introduced in Generation II as a counterpart to Pinsir. This blue beetle (which is also Fighting-type) makes a reappearance in the Isle of Armor after being unfortunately left out of the base game.
It seems to be exclusive to Pokémon Shield, so those with Sword may need to find a friend to trade. If you ha💖ve Shield, find this guy in the Forest of Focus, Challenge Road, or the Training Lowlands.
2 Stoutland
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:It never made a lick of sense that Lillipup, Herdier, and Stoutland were not in the base game. These three dogs, all part of the same evolutionary family, were a ꦍshoo-in for the British-inspired Pokémon list that was used for Galar.
Amazingly, they were absent. But, they've come back in the Isle of Armor. Lillipup can be found in the Training Lowlands in basically any weather. Herdier and Stoutland can also be found wanderin✤g around.
1 🌠 Jigglypuff
What is Pokémon without Jigglypuff? This little puffball balloon Pokémon is a classic original and an all-time best character in both the anime and many games (looking at you, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Snap). It's heartwrenching that this all-time great of the series was not included, especially since it🦄s counterpart, Clefairy, was.
It's with a joyous ce𒁏lebration that Jigglypuff came back to the seri🎀es. In the Isle of Armor, you can find this little pink pal floating around in the Fields of Honor.
