No other title has come close to matching the zany cooperative fun that is It Takes Two. That said, its story is still a delightful mess of plot holes, inconsistencies, and what-the-heck moments. 10 Rose Never Notices Something Is Seriously🅺 Wrong With Her Parents

At several points in the game, while May and Cody are adventuring and trying to get back to their real bodies, Rose approaches her parents and tries to initiate a conversation. Both of 💎her parents at these moments are unconscious, their "souls" having been trapped in the dolls.

At no point does Rose ever look concerned at the fact that her mom and dad are passed out and unresponsive. She just looks morose and leaves them even though several hours must have passed while they were left in this state. It is completely unbelievable that she would assume they're ignoring her rather than catch on to the fact that there is something legitimately wrong.

9 ♕ The Neglected Moon Baboon Thinks He And Rose Are "Best Friends"

This particular plot hole may point more toward Moon Baboon being in a state of denial, but it's a strange bit of narrative legwork that makes May and Cody's time escaping him feel contrived. Outraged over their attempts to get Rose to cry (rightfully so), Moon Baboon attacks May and Cody, denouncing their actions the whole time. He claims he's Rose's best friend and is only looking out for her best interests.

But as May reveals when she discusses how she bought Moon Baboon for Rose at the space museum, she hasn't played with Moon Baboon in years. If anything, we would expect the abandoned Moon Baboon to be bitter towards Rose and her neglect.

8 You Can Co🐼nduct Electricity ൩

By their daughter's "wish" magic, Cody and May are transformed into dolls at the start of the game. Yet despite being made of clay and wood respectively, Cody and May show themselves to be pretty resilient to pretty much any force of nature you throw at them. It might seem especially questionable that they are able to conduct electricity between wires for the sake of several puzzles in the first area of the game, "The Shed". Seeing as they are technicall🤡y unkillable in their doll forms, however, it is easier to give this a pass. Even if May should technically burst into fl🅘ames upon touching a hot wire.

7 🥂 Why Squirrels Versꦕus Wasps?

After Cody and May leave the shed, they end up inside their yard's massive tree. They are not alone, though. Their backyard's tree is grounds for what apparently is a long-fought war between its two chief occupants: the squirrels and the wasps. It's an interesting rivalry, to say the least. Typically, wasps do not fall anywhere on a squirrel's list of natural enemies. Thoug🧸h squirrels are known to vacate trees with wasp nests inside them. The scenario might be uncommon, bu𒉰t it certainly makes for some interesting level design.

6 Mother Spiders Don't Care About Their Young

After rescuing them, Cody and May befriend two little spider friends who let them ride on their backs. It is a fun level, filled with topsy-turvy pla💞tforming and rotating stage💝s.

In the end, the spiders lead Cody and May back to the Mama Spider, reunited at last. In reality, very few species of spiders actually care for their young after they are born. The Wolf Spid💝er is one of the few exceptions, sometimes carrying their babies on their back. We very much hope our friends are Wolf S💞piders, however.

5 Why Does The Book Have Facial Hair? ꧙

"The Book of Love," also known as Dr. Hakim throughout the game, is the source of all the shenanigans in It Takes Two. This is the book Rose essentially made her "magic wish" for her parents to stay together to. So when subsequentially transform into Rose's dolls, it is the Book of Love that orchestrates their adventures from then on.

Yet for some reason, The Book of Love materializes as a shiny pink mustachioed creature with a cleft chin and often cheesy Spanish accent. You would assume that this is meant to be the personification of the book's author, Dr. Hakim. But why on earth does he have "facial hair" in the first place, and why pink?

4 🐟 You Need A Head To𝔍 Play The Trumpet

In the Attic, the Book of Love tasks Cody and May with putting together all the elements of a comeback concert for May to perform. At one point it leads them to a magical heaven-like area, filled with pillowy clouds, angels, and demons. Yet perhaps the strangest thing about this whole section is not the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:crying sentient storm clouds, but the orchestra members you must rescue. The whole troop is, apparently, incorporeal. No heads, no hands, not feet. That does not seem to be stopping🦄 the wi🦩nd section from playing though.

3 Cloning And Teleportation Aren't Synonymous

In the Cuckoo Clock stage, themed around time management and how time slips away from us, Cody is given the power to literally reverse time. Meanwhile, May is supposedly granted the ability to "teleport". In reality, what her ability in this section does is clone herself and then teleport back to her clone. This is clearly a metaphor for May wanting to be "in two places at once", and therefore you might assume that you would be able to switch between playing as Clone May and Real May, Luigi's Mansion style. Instead, your clone is little more than the cubes in Portal, just a weight to be placed in order to solve puzzles.

2 Dr. Hakim's Advice On Love Is Just Bad

It's not that it is impossible to fall back in love with a partner with who you previously felt incompatible. Plenty of people do just that, and have healthy, functioning relationships. None of the "lessons" the Book of Love attempts to convey from Dr. Hakim's ideology actually give any sort of insight into how that works. Many of the "lessons" the Book tries to impart ultimately boil down to "just love each other." The subtleties of d🦩ivorce and the difficulties of having kids are often overlooked for more simplified takes.

There are definitely a fair few self-help books out there with toxic positivity radiating from them just like Dr. Hakim. If this was an association they were trying to make though, there is little effort to address the fact that much of Dr. Hakim's advice completely missing the mark.

1 Why Did We Murder That Poor Elephant? 𓄧

The destruction of Cutie the Elephant is perhaps the most disturbing scene not onlyಌ in It Takes Two, but honestly in almost any game. This moment came so far out of left-field that it left many players reeling. The entire time, you were left there wondering, surely they will stop and see the error of their ways. Or hoping that if you waited out the quick-time cues, maybe the option to murder poor Cutie would just go away. Sadly, this isn't a Telltale Games title, your inaction cannot save Cutie. Destroying their daughter's favorite toy, in the vain hope that her tears might reverse the magic, was more than just senseless. It was cruel. We all make mistakes in parenting, of course, doing things we realize will impact our kids massively later down the line. The fact that what Cody and May did to Cutie is glossed over in lieu of what cou🍎ld have been a teachable moment is rather disappointing, to say the least.
