It’s an oddly quiet time for . With The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:North Ameꦆrican Continental Championship behind us and Archazia’s Island st♐ill over a month away, we’ve hit a bit of a lull in the perpetual hype cycle.

Disney Lorcana Archazia's Island Is Finally Introducing Dual-Ink Cards
Disney Lorcana is 🍌introducing a highly-requested mechanic in 𒁃Archazia's Island.
Normally we’d be knee-deep in spoiler season for the next set by now, but for Archazia’s Island, Ravensburger has decided to keep us in suspense. We’ve had no Lorecast presentation to introduce the set, and not a single card r🌸evealed yet. So, with only Azurite Sea’s set champions🃏hips to keep us occupied until spoiler season starts on February 10, we wait.
I wrote this before 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dual-ink cards and Ravensburger Play Hub were announced. Guessꦕ it wasn’t so quiet after all!
In lieu of the typical months-long spoiler season for the upcoming set, Ravensburger has instead revealed the next three sets early. At last month’s European Continental Championship we learned♉ about Archazia’s Island and the set that follows it in June, Reign of Jafar, and this week at London Toy Fair we learned the name of the Q3 2025 set: Fabled.
Why give us so many details about this year’s upcoming sets rather than focus on March’s Archazia’s Island? Why this sudden change in reveal strategy? Well, without any new cards to overanalyze, let’s dive way too dee🦹p into my wild theory about what these three upcoming expansions are setting up.
Two Years Of Lorcana
When the illumineers set out on a swashbuckling adventure in Azurite Sea, they were headed for Archazia’s Island, the 🌱setting of the March expansion. This set will introduce us to Archazia, a powerful figure in Lorcana lore who will hopefully lead us (or already has) to the other half of the broken Hexwell Crown - an object of power Ursula possessed in last year’s Ursula’s Return, which Jafar currently seeks.
This week, we learned that June’s Reign of Jafar also takes place on Archazia’s Island, which has now been twisted and t🍸ransformed by Jafar using the power of the crown. Together, Azurite Sea, Archazia’s Isl⛎and, and Reign of Jafar form a narrative trilogy, with Shimmering Skies serving as a break between the first and second story arc, while also setting the stage for Jafar’s big play.
We can see a narrative cycle taking form. The first four Lorcana sets, spread over one year, told a three-act story that began with some world building and stage-setting in The First Chapter, and ended with a showdown between the heroes and the villain in Ursula’s Return. The second year of Lorcana repeated that cycle. Once again we spent four sets discovering a villain’s evil plot to wield the Hexwell Crown, and once again we saw a showdown with the villain in th🦋e fourth set.
Note: With this obvious pattern, I expect to see the next Illumineer’s Quest co-op campaign released along withജ Reign of Jafarꦆ.
Fabled: The Story So Far
We know where Year 2 is going, and now, thanks to London Toy Fair, we also know how Year 3 begins. This year’s Q3 set, Fabled, was just announced along with some adorable key art showing 📖Prince Mickey and Princess Minnie riding a carousel.
We can expect that Fabled will be another festive interlude that lays the groundwork for the next Big Bad. It looks like Fabled’s theme might be based on a Renaissance fair, where our heroes have gone on va💟cation to celebrate defeating Jafar. That would be the obviou🌞s way to go, but something tells me there’s more to Fabled than you might expect.
Fabled’s tagline is “Welcome to the Story”, which is what first got my wheels turning. The First Chapter was our welcome to the story, why would the ninth set need to welcome us again? That, along with the old-timey theme, got me thinking: what if in year three we’re going back to the very beginning of L𝔍orcana?
So here’s the th𝔍eory: Reign of Jafar ends with a big, world-shattering cliffhanger. It’s going to give us a major status quo change to the world of Lorcana that will either change the direction of the story, the mechanics of the game, or both. Then, instead of picking that thread back up in Fabled, it leaves us hanging. The consequences of Reign of Jafar won’t be explored until Year 4. Year 3 is all about the creation myth of Lorcana.
The Creation Of Lorcana
There’s a lot that still needs to be explored about how the world of Lorcana works. We know about a🔯 lot of the mechanisms and nouns, like The Great Illuminary, the Curator, inkcasters, story stars, but we know almost nothing about the actual history of Lorcana. The First Chapter dropped us into the world, and we’ve been running from one adventure to the next ever since, so perhaps in year three ಌwe’ll finally start to learn more about the big players like The Curator and Archazia, or maybe discover how the world was first created.
Personally, I’m still wondering where Ursula returned from 𝓀in Ursuala’s Return.
We also know that Pixar is finally coming to the game in 2026, which likely means sometime during Year 3. This could tie in well with the idea of an origin story year. Maybe Pixar characters were there at the beginning like the rest of the Disney cast, but t🦋hen something happened that caused the Illumineers to be unable to create their glimmers anymore. Once they’re introduced in 2026 they’ll be permanent additions to the game, so a cool way to introduce them would be to show that they were there when Lorcana was young, then reintroduce them in the present at the start of Year 4 as a consequence of our battle wi♏th Jafar in Reign of Jafar.
I love the idea of ending Year 2 with a cliffhanger that doesn’t get resolved until the start of Year 4, and instead spending a year exploring the history of Lorcana. It’s 🌜pure speculation, but the way Fabled was introduced - and the fact that it was revealed so early - makes me thi🌳nk there’s more to this upcoming set than we’ve come to expect.
