Ember Labs has dropped the 🔜launch trailer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits a day ahead of the game’s launch. Coming tomorrow to PS4, PS5, and PC via Epic Games, the game follows Kena, a Spirit Guide who investigates the mysterious demise of a village. She’s also accompanied by her tiny little co♉mpanions who are known as Rot.
As the trailer reveals, Kena will come face to face with a number of enemies who seem to be the result of some kind of corruption. Most of them look like some sort of wood elementals bᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚrought to life by the man wearing the mask in the trailer. Some﷽thing tells me he’s the bad guy.
We also get to see some of Kena’s combat and powers. While she can use her staff for melee att꧃acks, it also bends into a bow which allows her to perform ranged attacks. As for her powers, she appears to have some sort of throwing weapon that essentially acts as a grenade, and she can form a bubble around herself for protection. And these are just the powers that we’ve seen so far.
A Digital Deluxe version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits will also be available for $49.99 including the digital soundtrack, an in-game silver staff, and golden Rot skin exclusives. The PS5 version of the game will include some exclusive featur𝔉es, like over 200 Game Help videos in the PlayStation Activities section. You can also choose between Fidelity Mode, which locks the frame rate to 30fps with native 4k resolution, and the Perf🍬ormance Mode that targets 60fps and upscaled 4K resolution.
“We were insꦏpired to make Kena by the films and games we enjoyed together growing up, so we wanted to ensure the game was reflective and cinematic as well as challenging; an experience that would appeal to and be accessible for a bro🐻ad range of players,” said Ember Lab co-founder and COO Josh Grier.
It will also feature a detailed photo mode. While we don’t have much detail on this, you’ll be able to make some wardrobe changes, switch aroꦍund Rot hats, get characters to pose, and also say “Cheese”. Today is also the last day to pre-order Kena: Bridge of Spirits if you want to get your hands on exclusive celebration Rot hats.
