Where To Find The Rots In Forgotten Forest
1. When you arrive at Forgotten Forest, follow the right path along the river until you reach the second little spike on the map. Go inside and there's a purple obelisk. Use pulse and you'll get a little Rot.
2. Continue following the river to the Water Shrine. Here, cleanse the red corruption and then, with the seed planted, summon a Rot bull and lure them down the river toward the ruins where there is more red corruption for them to smash. Doing so gives you access to a block of stone that you can move to the right to reach up a ledge.
Once done, have your Rot move the wooden barrier, revealing a shortcut. With that done, command your Rot bull to come up the newly opened path toward another ledge where there's a haystack with a purple spark. Make your Rot bull smash it and voila, you have another member for your pack.
3. Next to the Water Shrine, there are some broken logs. One of these is poised upward, facing the forest, and it has a purple rune on it. Head here and pulse to activate a shooting challenge. Hit all four targets within the time limit and you'll earn another Rot.
4. Head toward the God Tree Shrine and, on the bottom road, you'll spot some little footprints. That is if you're wearing your mask. Pulse in the vicinity of these footprints and a Rot should stumble out of the leaves above. Pick 'em up.
5. Next, navigate up the Kashyyk-like structures to actually reach the God Tree Shrine. Once it's cleansed, look upward for a blue flower you can grapple to. Snag it, and follow the path toward your next Rot. You have to pulse to summon it.
6, 7, and 8. When you have purified every shrine, head to the Sacred Tree and enter it. Fight the boss, wat🍸ch the cutscene, and net three Rot as a reward.
9. From the Sacred Tree, take a left (on the map) toward a bridge over a stream. Follow the river and jump on the rock. Then, shoot the blue obelisk and platform over. You'll find a spot to meditate and, to the right, a rock your Rot can lift to reveal another.
10. Once you open the path to the Lantern Cave, take a sharp right and you'll find a Rot under a rock.
11. On the way to a lantern cave, you'll be able to plant a seed. With your newly spawned Rot bull, break the hay. Underneath is a log, lift it with your Rot to find another.
12, 13, and 14. You'll get these simply for completing the Lantern Cave.
