Picking up this ambitious R꧙PG crossover might ha📖ve changed me forever.

As charming as most of these details are (mostly in the first Kingdom Hearts, let's be honest), not every secret in the series is a good one. No, I'm not talking about Birth by Sleep's undeniably annoying Mysterious Figure fight, I'm not-so-subtly hinting at the .

What The Heck Is Up With Riku's Thumb?!

If you've been on the wild ride that is Kingdom Hearts for some time now, but, , it seems to be news for some fans . In the final cutscene of Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora and Riku find themselves on Destiny Islands, which leads to a touching reunion with Donald, Goofy, Kairi, and Mickey.

While Donald and Goofy swarm Sora and you're reminded how scary it would be if Goofy was real, Riku picks up Mickey and swings him around with glee. Holding a child-sized mouse up in the air is scary enough, but the real horror comes when you take a closer look at Riku's thumb.

That's right, Riku's thumb apparently has some stretching powers we didn't know about, as it's showing some Mr Fantastic capabilities as it wraps around Mickey's waist. It's clearly just an animation error that's occurred due to Mickey's size and Square either missing it or hoping people wouldn't notice, but it's one of those things you can't unsee when you've spotted it.

Even if Riku's long thumb might be a little... offputting, it doesn't stop Kingdom Hearts 2 from having one of the best endings in all of gaming. It certainly beats KH3's cliffhanger.

I've got enough Kingdom Hearts brain rot to have known about this for a while, but judging by the 14,000 likes on NipahDUBS' post, it seems that a lot of people had no idea it was a thing. Just taking a quick look at the comments shows a lot of Kingdom Hearts fans being horrified at the detail after missing it for more than a decade. And yes, it feels good to pass that horror on.
