A m🅠odder has added Olympus Coliseum cups to Kingdom Hearts 3, something fans have wanted ever since the game launched.

Kingdom Hearts 3 introduced a ton of new concepts to the series, including mechanics like Keyblade switching, transformations, and the much-complained-about Attraction Flow. It also brought back lots of s🐻ystems, but one thing that was left out was Olympus Coliseum cups or any kind of tournament in the world at all.

Instead, the closest thing we got to Coliseum cups in Kingdom Hearts 3 were the Battle Portals that were scattered around each world and dragged players into short fight against a selection of Heartless. Although these were good fun, they weren't anything near as special as the Olympus Coliseum cups were and left a pretty big gap in the importance of the world.

Now, modder Aproydtix is working on a mod that adds Coliseum Cups back into Kingdom Hearts 3. , showing Sora, Donald, and Goofy in action in a much larger Olympus-styled arena. The video shows the trio participating in the Phil Cup and going up against rounds of Heartless just like they were able to in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. If we're talking about things missing from Kingdom Hearts 3, Aproydtix is even using the Star Seeker Keyblade.

The matches even include bigger Heartless as they go on, with the final match being a fight against the game's first mini-boss, the Rock Troll. The only thing that's missing are the awesome victory animations, but even Kingdom Hearts 2 did away with them. You can only expect so much from one modder, anyway.

Considering the mod is only in early alpha, it's incredibly impressive and even more so when you remember that Kingdom Hearts 3 doesn't have any round-based arena fights like this, as the Battle Portals are a one-round thing. Let's hope Square Enix takes notice and considers an arena for whatever Kingdom Hearts game comes next.
