Kingdom Hearts fans are getting a tiny sneak peek at the upcoming game Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. Just when it looked like Kingdom Hearts III was the end of this story🦩 Square Enix decided to throw us an origin story for t🍎he biggest baddie in the game and a few more potential Keyblade Masters.

This game will be the story of how Xehanort became the dark presence he was throughout Sora, Donald, and Goofy’s adventures. Xehanort’s story, like that of the entire plot of Kingdom Hearts, is complicated and involves a lot of reincarnation, soul splitting, and possibly alternate timelines. The game has been delayed once—much like everything else in the entire world—but is now on track to be seen later this year. When it is finally released it will be available on iOS and Android devices, Kingdom Hearts for all!
While Kingdom Hearts is known for its beautiful animation as well as it’s Disney fueled storylines. But as a mobile game, Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road will have a less complicated animation style and focus more on the cute. As a sneak preview of the game, Square Enix has released several images of who will appear and at least one place you can go. Xehanort, and Eraqus, longtime best friends turned adversaries (it’s a very Anakin and Obi-Wan relationship) were both revealed in all of their round-faced, soft-edged, pint-sized glory; and a few new characters were teased as well. A photograph in the more traditional Kingdom Hearts art style was also released in four parts, each highlighting a different member in the picture. Based on the friendly poses in the picture♏ it’s safe t﷽o say that these new characters, Bragi, Vor, Urd, and Hermod, all play parts in Xenahort’s past.
For fans of the franchise, it’s hard to get enough Kingdom Hearts, especially because this storyline is so complicated. The release of Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road will give players an extra little dꦬose of the world they’ve come to know and love as well as,🦹 hopefully, expanding an understanding of the story at large.
