Kingdom Hearts fans are arguing about w🌠hich button they assign as a shortcut for Cure, despite the only reasonable 𒀰answer being the X button.

Thanks to the infamous healing skills of a certain winged party member and the fact that potions and elixirs are limited, Cure is without a doubt, one of the most important spells in Kingdom Hearts. It's the one that absolutely every player needs to have in their shortcut menu at all times, which has ignited the debate - which button do you assign to Cure?

It's not clear exactly where the debate started, but popular Kingdom Hearts content creator HMK seems to have carried most of it. The most popular answer (and the correct one) is that the X button (or A, if you play on Xbox) is the one that makes the most sense for Cure. Then there are those saying that it's Triangle, for some reason.

Tweets supporting the X button as the default for Cure say things like, and . The best defence for using X is that you're almost always using that button to attack, so it's quicker to jump in and heal yourself mid-combo if needed.

As obvious as using X might seem (again, it's the only right answer), a decent percent of Kingdom Hearts players have admitted to using the Triangle button for Cure instead of X. and so is cure (valid) and that it's one of the least-used buttons for combat in the game. Twitter user TruebladeSeeker also pointed out that Triangle is the top button of the controller, and Sora points his Keyblade up when using Cure, which is an angle I'd never even thought of.

To end the debate, that asked Twitter users abo𝄹ut which button they assign to Cure on the shortcut menu. Not to push my own agenda, but it looks like X is the overall winner at 50.7 percent of votes, while Triangle comes in second at 29.8 percent. Then there are the contrarians pretending that Square and Circle make any kind of sense 🃏at all with 10.8 and 8.6 percent of votes respectively.

As much as I will always be an X-button-presser, I have to admit that there's not really any good reason why. I can lie and pretend that it's definitely the combo thing I mentioned earlier, but the truth of it is that it's just the one that makes the most sense to me. On the other hand, the Triangle crowd have some pretty strong reasoning with the whole colour and button use argument. Still, my muscle memory can't be overwritten after 20 years, so I'll just say they're wrong anyway.

Now let's talk about Reflect absolutely has to go on Square.
