Kingdom Hearts Missing Link’s Monetisation Gets In The Way Of Its🅰 Best Feature

Missing Link’s ability to explore the world through your phone should be its defining feature but﷽ the high cost of AP holds it back.

While the wait for Kingdom Hearts 4 is painful enough on its own, it's even more strange with Missing Link considering it's been delayed✨ mul𒐪tiple times over despite being playable on a few separate occasions. While we're st꧅ill waiting for an official news drop for the game, dataminers have been plugging 🧜away at its May 2024 build and have found some very interesting things.

Jury's Still Out On How Exactly They'll Work, Though

, who decided to clear the drought a bit by sharing some information that comes from sources who are currently datamining the game. The ജmost interesting thing revealed from the datamining is in regards to Missing Link's Disney worlds.

It's previously been co🌞nfirmed that Disney worlds are go🧔ing to make an appearance in Missing Link despite the focus on GPS gameplay, but we've had n♒o information about how they'll work. TheGamersJoint suggests that there are "beyond 20" worlds in the game's beta files and that, if 👍they all get added to the game, it'll have "possibly one of the best world lineups in Kingdom Hearts".

TheGamersJoint didn't reveal anything 🍌about which worlds might appear and it's not clear how they actually work just yet, but he did suggest that some of them might be more involved than just themed combat arenas. It also seems likely that they'll be added to the game over its lif𝕴etime, rather than just chucked in whenever the game launches.

The datamine also🔯 uncovered Treasure Dungeons that can be explored for loot, while sadly confirming a Week𒅌ly and Premium payment plan for the game. One step forward, one step back.

If the datamine is correct (♎and TheGamesJoint seems confident it is, since he's aware of some of the worlds included), then it could go some way to explaining why Missing Link is taking so long, as the team is clearly plugging away at it. We'll know for sure when more information is officially shared, but it's a nice bit of excitement for a series that really needs some news right now.
