In an unlikely pairing, Disney and Square Enix found a mutual partnership with their beloved characters and combined them to form the unique world of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kingdom Hearts. In 2002, the series started off as a simple adventure with a young boy named Sora exploring classic Disney worlds and trying to defeat an evil darkness. But Sora learned that there was more to the Heartless, and the history of Kingdom Hearts actually began many ꦿyears ago with the 𝔉legendary X-Blade.
While the overall story of Kingdom Hearts can be a bit convoluted and difficult to properly track, one thing has remained consistent: the importance of the X-Blade. This legendary weapon is said to be the key to opening and controlling Kingdom Hearts, wh♓ich is why Xehanort is set on re-cre🔥ating the weapon. But what exactly is the X-Blade? Join us as we analyze this ancient and mythical Keyblade, and why it’s so important in the series.
Key To Kingdom Hearts
In the beginning, there was just the X-Blade. The letter 'χ' is from the Greek alphabet with the pronunciation being "chi", and so the proper pronunciation of the X-Blade is the “Chi-Blade.” While the origins of the weapon are shrouded in mystery, the X-Blade is said to be the only tool capable of summoning and unlocking Kingdom Hearts. The wielder of the X-Blade would have the full control of Kingdom Hearts at their disposal, having the power to recreate worlds and harness the full might of both light and dark.
During the first Keyblade War, the X-Blade shattered into 20 pieces: seven pieces of light, and 13 pieces of darkness. Before the X-Blade was shattered, the Master of Masters studied the weapon and learned how to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:create more Keyblades. Althoug🐷h each Keyblade was deemed imperfect compared to the X-Blade, this power allowed users to unlock and lock a world’s keyꦚhole, possibly opening it up for consumption by the darkness.
Xehanort’s Obsession
Throughout his studies at Scala ad Caelum, Xehanort came across the history of the X-Blade and became obsessed with recreating the weapon. After his heart became affected by the darkness in Wonderland, Xehanort sought to recreate the weapon to control Kingdom Hearts itself. Xehanort believed that combining a heart of pure light with one that’s equally pure in darkness would recreate the X-Blade. From there, he separated the darkness in Ventus’s heart to create Vanitas, and almost completed the recreation until he was thwarted by Aqua and Terra in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
In the first game of the franchise, Xehanort acted through Ansem, Seeker of Darkness to collect the Seven Princesses of Light. Ansem, who is Xehanort’s Heartless born from his possession of Terra, tempted Maleficient with the power of the Heartless to manipulate her and other villains to capture the princesses. Sora and his friends ultimately defeated Ansem and prevented him from kidnapping the Princesses of Heart (people with hearts of pure light, something needed to produce the X-Blade). While Ansem was pursuing the Princesses of Heart, he also created 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Organization 13 to be led by Xemnas, the Nobody of the Heartless Anseꦑm. B🐻ut once again, Sora thwarted his plans in Kingdom Hearts 2 with the help of Riku.
Xehanort finally achieved his dreams of recreating the X-Blade in Kingdom Hearts 3. By using the seven Keyblade wielders in the Keyblade Graveyard, and the 'True' Organization 13, various clones and vessels for himself that acted as the 13 pieces of darkness, the corrupted Keyblade master recreated the X-Blade and summoned Kingdom Hearts. However, in the final fight, Sora defeats Xehanort and, with the help of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:his friends, uses 💞their light and the X-Blade itself to lock Kingdom Hearts. The X-Blade’s whereabouts after Sora’s use o🐻f it are unknown.
