According to Kojima, the upcoming title will utilize the publisher's cloud-based technology for some unspecified features. Such an announcement made many PlayStation fans worry that Kojima Productions will no longer maintain close working relations with Sony and that the studio's future projects won't launch for PS5. The developer commented on the subject, confirming that Kojima Productions remains an independent creative studio, one that will "explore various possibilities with games, movies, and music through platforms that evolve with time and technology." As for the games in development at Kojima Productions at least two of them are currently expected, although none have been officially announced.
