Pro Evolution Soccer has been quite popular over the years, seeing continual development and annual releases since 2001. This year, however, Konami is taking a strange approach to its franchise, that there simply is not enough time to develop PES 2021 due to the amount of work needed to prepare for the next-gen sequel, but that is not stopping them from 🃏asking their players for more money.

In a statement released today, Konami states, “aiming to achieve foꦰr our next-gen debut has made it necessary to pare back our efforts in other areas of development. As a result, we have made the decision to launch this year's PES as a streamlined offering in the form of a ‘season update.’” At first this reads as though Konami is going to provide their loyal players with a free update in place of a new game, but that is quickly shown not to be the case, stating that the update will be available, “at an affordable anniversary price and will also come with several bonuses.”

This strategy is as fascinating as it is ridiculous oꦗn so many levels. The claim that there is too much to do for the next generation of console is certainly true, but the launch of the next Sony and Microsoft console la﷽nding in the Holiday season of 2020 has been widely known for well over a year, and highly speculated before that. The explanation reads as though everyone at Konami forgot to consider that they needed to develop a game, and this is simply an excuse.

Next, consumers who play PES, or by extension, Madden, FIFA, or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:NBA titles are already loyal fans, forking over AAA money every year for what can often be described as barely an upgrade to gameplay or graphics. In this case, Konami is goiꦓng one step further, asking consumers to hand over their cash, not for a new gameꦉ, but for a measly update.

Hopefully, fans of the franchise will outright reject this ridiculous proposal and vote with their wallets to make their voices heard. If Konami wants players to spend their hard-earned cash, they need to do better than ওhave some unfortunate employee in PR write what amounts to a statement that reads like something from an elementary school child who forgot to prepare a year-end project the night before it was due.

With so many high🅘-quality games in today’s video game market, these kinds of antics are not deserving of consumer dollars, and Konami should do 𝓰better by its fans.
