Lately, there's been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:rumors circulating abou⛄t a possible re💜vival for everyone's favorite atmospheric, nightmare-inducing horror franchise, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Silent Hill. Ever since Silent Hills was canceled and Konami kicked Hideo Kojima to the curb the series has been put on hold🍸 with no signs of life.

Well, except for this:

At this point, fans are a tad skeptical about whether or not Konami is capable of making a good Silent Hill game. After all, the last two games they put out that weren't soccer-related were Metal Gear Survive and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Contra: Rogue Corps, two titles that are generally conꦿsidered to be low points in their respective franchises.

So, how could they possibly not screw this up? We have some ideasꦫ, and hopefully, in between making pachinko machines, Konami will 𒆙listen to our advice.

No Microtransactions

via mxdwn Games

This first suggestion will probably bওe the toughest for the executives at Konami to swallow. Obviously, they're a company that loves to make money, and there's no better way to fill up the coffers than with some good ol' fashioned microtransactions.

But really, why would a Silent Hill game ever need microtransactions in the first place? New characters? Monsters locked behind a paywall? Alternative skins and costumes for Pyramidhe꧑ad?

Ok, that last one could be cool.

Silent Hill games are all about the atmosphere. Having messages pop up about how you can purchase special Konami Coins to put a funny hat on Harry Mason is only going to distract from the scares. So as tempting as it may be, microtransactions are a big no-no for Silent Hill.

Don't Copy P.T.

via Rock Paper Shotgun

Now this one might seem odd to many horror fans.168澳洲幸运5开奖网: P.T. is undeniably one of the greatest horror games ever made. It has inspired countless developers with its innovative and terrifying take on the genre. Even now you can sift through the horror section in your online game store of choice and find countless titles all trying to live up to the promise of what Silent Hills could have been.

That's just it though. There are already several games that arguably could be called the spiritual successor to P.T. and Silent Hills. Trying to actually make that game now would only build up people's expectations. Considering that Kojima has moved on from Konami along with the rest of his team, there's likely no way that whoever is behind a new Silent Hill could possibly live up to that lofty goal. It would be a lot wiser to move in a different direction than attempt to reproduce even an iota of Kojima's unique brand of horrಞifying insanity.

Just Stick To Horror

via Amazon

Hey, you know what everyone loved? Silent Hill: Book Of Memories. Who wouldn't enjoy a game that took a series previously known ꦚfor being scary because of your ineffective combat skills and turning it into a loot-collecting dungeon crawler?

Everyone. Everyone didn't enjoy that. .

If you're making a new Silent Hill just make it a straight-up, no-frills horror game. That's what brought the series to the dance and that's what fans want to see. It doesn't need to be a first-person shoote𓄧r. There shouldn't be a rhythm or dancing mini-game. There's no reason that it should suddenly become a cooking simulator. We just need a normal protagonist with a haunted past getting dropped into the worst small town ever. If you want to shake up the formula in other ways then that's fine. But for the love of God, leave looting and shooting out of the equation.

Work With Streamers

via Youtube - Looper

Let's face it, one of the best ways to advertise your spooky game is to have a streamer or content creator play it. Watching someone holler and scream each time a Bubble Head Nurse comes careening around a corner is great fun. Plus, if they look like they're enjoying it then maybe their aud⛦ience will want to give it a try too.

Looking at what streamers like playing is another way to gauge what kind of a direction the next Silent Hill game should take. Many of them have played so many horror games that they're practically experts on what makes a good one. Konami should reach out to them to s꧒ee what aspects of the genre they like seeing. It also wouldn't hurt to start a relationship wi🐈th popular streamers early so that when the game does come out, they'll be playing it for their thousands of adoring fans.

Bring Back Team Silent

via Whatculture

Finally, in a move that should be obvious but apparently isn't, Konami should try to get the members of Team Silent back together for the next entry in the franchise. Some of the rumors have mentioned that Konami is reaching out to other developers to give pitches for a new Silent Hill game. Instead of hiring an inexperienced and unproven crew, why not just bring ba꧅ck the people who created the series in the first place?

Of course, we don't know whether the members of Team Silent would be up to working with Konami again, or even if they want to work on a new Silent Hill title. But it couldn't hurt to ask. They understand the lore of that world better than anyone and most games in the series that have come out since they were removed from the project haven't been all that great. So give them the keys to the ♎kingdom one more time and see if they can recapture some of that creepy, Silent Hill magic.

Please Don't Make Another Pachinko Machine

via Kotaku

Konami's reputation in the video game industry has taken a significant nose dive over the last several years, so everyone doubting their ability to produce a worthwhile Silent Hill isn't surprising. It can be done, as long as they put in some effort and maybe take a few of our tips. It would be nice to once again feel some sense of respect or affection for the company that gave us 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Contra. A good Silent Hill could be the first step towards some re♉newed goodwill for Konami.

Or they'll just release a Silent Hill mobile game that's a match-three puzzler with microt💯ransactions. It could go either way.
