Most of what we know about the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is rumored. It doesn't hurt to speculate, yet multiple sources seem to confirm its existence. Whether it's a remake, a sequel, a spiritual successor, or an unsubstantiated rumor has yet to be revealed. In the meantime, here are 5 reasons why w🉐e want a KOTOR remake (& 5 why we don't).

10 🅺﷽To Make The Story Canon (Want)

It is rumored that Electronic Arts is creating a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake to make it canon. The new remake will supposedly take elements from both of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games and retouch them to fit into the current Star Wars canon.

The Selkath is an example of an aquatic species that first appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Selkath was later made canon after appearing in  Officially, Darth Revan and Darth Malak are not canons, but it wouldn't be surprising if Disney decides to officially add them to Star Wars.

9 🥀 It May Ruin A Masterpiece (Don't Wan𝓀t)

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of the last untouched pieces of Star Wars expanded universe that is still considered a masterpiece. A failed r🌳emake could tarnish the name of the game, which is why a remake could be a bad idea. There is a large margin for error, and it would be terrible if BioWare or another developer disappointed fans.

If the game's developers look to remakes like Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, Shadow Of The Colossus, and Resident Evil 2, there is a fighting chance for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake.

8 Expanded Story (Want) 🅠

It's challenging to separate fact from fiction since a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is only rumored at this point. Rumors are suggesting that the remake will include a retooled story to fill plot holes and make it more 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:appealing for younger generations. We are on board with the idea of an expanded𝕴 story as long as it doesn't detract from the original one. The story could be lengthier and more enticing if the narrative takes us to new plan🌱ets.

7 ⛄ We Already Know The Plot🐈 Twist (Don't Want)

To protect newcomers from spoilers, we won't describe the plot twist contained in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic; we'll only mention that there is one. Those who've already played games from the series already know the mind-boggling plot twist of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

The remake may not have an eye-opening effect as the original game because we've already played it. The plot twist doe𝓰sn't make or break the game, but it's something to take into consideration.

6 🧸 Improved Graphics (Want)

The screenshot in the above photo is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic with a graphics modification. This graphics mod pales in comparison to some of the more recent mods we've seen with games like Grand Theft Auto V and Skyrim. There's only so much mod creators can do with a game that released way back in 2003. We are looking forward to what Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake's developers can muster with the ꦡlatest tech.

5 The Possibility Of Microtransactions (ജDon't Want) 🧔

According to Julia Felton, "The key to the future lies in the past." The developers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic need to be as wise as a Jedi if they are to deliver the remake we💯 want and deserve.

Games like Star Wars Battlefront II are evidence that microtransactions don't work. It's been proven time and time again that microtransactions hurt the enjoyability of a game. The possibility of microtransactions in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic could spell failure.

4 It ꦡWill Appeal To New Players (Want) ꦑ

A redesign of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will likely appeal to more players than the original game. It🌠's hard for many players to jump into the classic game because it has dated gameplay mechanics and graphics. Of course, many players will find enjoyment in playing the original regardless. However, a remake could appeal to a broader player base, rekindling the buzz around the game. The fact that it will appeal to new players is a reason to want this remake.

3 ꦗ Lengthy Travel Times (Don't 🌜Want)

One feature that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic could benefit from is a fast travel system. In the original game, it's possible to return to your spaceship, and despite there being long loading times, it's an intuitive system. Nevertheless, running around places like Taris is tedious 🃏because of the number of loading screens and great walking distances. A remake will have to address♛ this issue if it wants to go above and beyond. If it releases for next-gen consoles, loading times should be near-instantaneous.

2 Option For Gen🍌der Selection (Want)

The protagonist's gender in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic should be chosen by the player. The masked Sith lord known as Darth Revan could be either a male or a female. Of course, since the story might be made canon, this fix could be complicated. Lucasfilm, now owned by Walt Disney Studios, may decide they want Darth Revan to have a gender. The option to select a gender would appeal to more playe🐽rs, but may not fit with Lucasfilm's agenda.

1 New Developers On The Project (Don't Want) 🙈

Many of the developers who worked on the original project are no longer a part of BioWare. Having new developers on the project could be both good and bad. With bright minds and new visionaries, the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake could prosper. The opposite could also be true since the game could take an unfavorable direction. Rumors suggest that the game could be more of a reimagining than a remake. If there is any credence to this, the game could be vastly different than th🍌e original.
