Lady Gaga’s music video for 911, a song off her newest album Chromat💮ica, features a reference to a property no one could have expected, even from mai💛nstream media’s arguably most eccentric artist. Somehow, in the midst of a music video whose contents wouldn’t look out of place in a late ‘80s C-movie lineup, Lady Gaga managed to toss in a reference to the Witcher series.
Just two hours after Gaga’s official account announced 911’s 🌄release, CD Projekt Red’s of🌺ficial Witcher account retweeted the post with a cheery, “Welcome to the family, witcher”, along with a screenshot of a scene from the music video.
In it, Gaga is decked head to toe in red, with a headdress resembling a skeletal red fish—or plant. Soဣmething like that. To her left stands a woman dressed like a Faberge egg wi💯th a red cross taped to her front, and to her left is a man wearing Geralt of Rivia’s trademark pendant.
First time viewers might not have caught it, what with it being buried within everything else Gaga is determined to have her fans look at. The music video kicks off with an incomprehensible tableau of outrageous people in outrageous outfits, 💛dramatic camera movements and eye-catching props moving here, there,🅰 everywhere. There’s a lot going on in 911, so you have to wonder who in the Witcher social media team first caught Gaga’s reference.
What’s interesting is that the man only starts to wear the pendant on around the 1:50 time mark. Although he appears several times earlier on in the music video, Geralt’s wolf-🦋headed pendant is nowhere to be found during those sce🉐nes. This begs a few questions: was the pendant a planned reference? Or was it just lying around the prop room?
Lady Gaga has made a few splashes in the gaming scene in the past year, notably 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:asking what Fortnite is and, not a day later, adding fuel to the fire by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:tweeting, “who are you?” at Twitch stream▨er Ninja. Although Gaga has yet to respond to or comment on the Witcher’s reply to her music video, the proof is on a man's very defined pecs: Gaga's a Witcher fan.
