1 🅘 Dungeons Are Too Punishing

With that in mind, dying in a Last Epoch dungeon is so punishing that it often goes from hard to frustrating and boring. If you die in a dungeon at any point, you'll lose your progress and have to do everything again. Dungeon layouts are always different, but they can get quite long when you reach the last two tiers; losing all that progress and getting nothing in return can quickly get disheartening.

We Really Want To Use It

ARPG players will be more than used to this version of a map in their game. Path of Exile is a perfect example of how to implement it well, but Last Epoch fumbled the execution here. We still use it from time to time to fish for objectives, but we don't use it as much as we'd like to.

Depending on the main colors of the area you're in, the map will either look invisible or too noticeable, and the main icons that show up (doors, portals, objectives) look so opaque that it is jarring to look at. In addition to this, the overlay map is frequently bugged, showing areas you've not visited as discovered, which can get really confusing.

3 Other Players' Animations Are Too Much

Where Did My Character Go?

Last Epoch is really co-op friendly. Playing this game with friends is a blast, especially when you get to the Empowered Echos and can start to divide and conquer, min-maxing the progress for all of you. Eleventh Hour Games did a great job here, but there's a relatively big design issue that only happens in these situations.

Skills can look extremely flashy by the endgame, which is great, right? Except when you're clearing Empowered echoes in a party of four, and the screen gets so cluttered with animations that you genuinely can't see where your character is anymore. This can be easily fixed by adding a slider to the settings to reduce or completely remove the animations of other players' skills.

4 What Do We Do💟 With All This Gold? ꩵ

We Want To Spend It!

Gold is in a very tricky position in Last Epoch. When you reach the endgame, you'll have to choose between two factions: Circle of Fortune and Merchant's Guild. If you choose the latter, you'll have an infinite amount of things to spend gold on. If you choose the former, though, you'll have virtually nothing to buy.

Merchants do not sell good items for the late-game, there are only a finite number of stash expansion tabs you can need, and there's nothing else to spend money on. Yes, you can spend it at the end of one or two dungeons, but if you're just spamming Empowered Monolyths, you'll quickly accrue a few million and wonder what to do with them.

5 Why Don't Quest Echoes Count For Everyone?

Less Repetition, More Fun

As we've said previously, Last Epoch does a great job of making co-op work well. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grinding with friends is definitely better than doing so alone, with the bizarre exception of a very specific type of content: Quest Echoes. These are specific "quests" you complete at the end of a timeline befor🍨e facing the final boss.

Weirdly enough, these echoes do not count as complete for other members of your party, even though all other echoes and even the boss do. We're not sure if this is a bug or an intended feature, but regardless of which it is, it seems like this change would fit perfectly with the rest of the game's compatibility toward co-op play.

6 Uniques Don't Live Up To Their Name

They Feel Pretty Common

Unique items should get a reaction out of the player. After all, they are unique. They're meant to be at least mildly rare, so much so that the game plays a sound when one drops, the light beaming out of them is much more noticeable than any other item rarity, and they're even marked on the map. The issue is that they are way too common and way too specific. As it stands, there doesn't seem to be any restriction on what kind of unique item you can get.

You might be playing a mage and a rogue-exclusive item drop. On the one hand, that's great. If you ever make a rogue, you already have a cool item to build around. On the other hand, we spend so many hours picking up uniques that are useless to our class, build, or are simply duplicates, that the excitement is completely gone. We're not sure how to fix it, but we're fairly certain that, given their evolution so far, Eleventh Hour Games will figure it out eventually.
