Layers of Fear is getting another instalment in 2022, as confirmed by a surprise trailer from Bloober Team. The🌳 short teaser takes us back to the themes of the first game, as an artist attempts to paint on a canvas, only to be interrupted by an unknown force.
The developer is keeping quiet on what we can expect from the game, saying in the video's description, "Layers of Fear was a breakthrough project for us. Now we return to this universe. Check out this Unreal Engine 5 teaser trailer for clues on what this new, yet-to-be-titled project could be!".
The first Layers of Fea🌠r game was released in 2016, and was mostly met with praise from fans and critics alike. It was soon followed by a sequel, Layers of Fear 2, which was another critical hit for the developer. Judging from the new trailer, the third game in the series will certainly delve into the psychological horror aspects of the series some more, as even the brief look we get feels unnerving.
Honing in the successful horror series aligns with recent news from the company, including how it plans to be as big as the likes of💝 Naughty Dog and Bungie in five years. Considering those two are best known for sticking to a limited amount of franchises at once, going all-in on the horror genre could be a step towards the company's aspirations.
Further still, if the rumours are anything to go by, this isn't actually the only horror project Bloober Team is working on right now. We already know it's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:planning to do something with Konami, but recent murmurings have the studio down to work on a Silent Hill game. The company did 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:deny this recently, saying it was based on "incomplete information", but it's only looking even more likely now with the recent reports that Konami is indeed looking for m🐻ultiple outside studios to work on the series.
