Whether it be through Plasma Fission, Tectonic Disruption, or, most devastating of all, their optical Life Form Disintegration Ray, nothing is safe before the gaze of Vel'Koz.
Vel'Koz is a powerful artillery mage, capable of dealing burst and true damage once a subject is fully Researched. They also suffer from the downfalls of being a glass cannon, though, and can be dispatched with some skillful maneuvering and counter burst in the mid lane. Lore-wise, Vel'Koz could theoretically usher in the end of Runeterra, capable of opening a Void Rift and relaying the compendium of information they have compiled to The Watchers.
3 🍸 Kha’Zix, The ꦜVoidreaver
An Unseen Threat, Kha’Zix entered Runeterra frail but voracious. They devoured the land’s most dangerous fauna, so they could evolve with the Void Assault ability and grow stronger. They became ever more powerful and swift, until they considered themselves unstoppable. With arrogant abandon they would Leap after their prey and use their Void Spikes to impale them, able to Taste Their Fear at the conclusion of the hunt. Kha'Zix has an Assassin play-style and can easily pop squishies like Kog'Maw and Vel'Koz. This champion generally builds Lethality items which, when coupled with great mobility and invisibility, can decimate a team's backline in seconds. While savoring a kill, Kha’Zix was attacked by Rengar and the two battled for an entire night, ceasing only at the threat of death from exhaustion when the dawn came. It is thought that Rek’Sai, Queen of the Xer'Sai, inhabited the sands of Shurima even before Azir became emperor and ascende⭕d to the sta🀅tus of a god-warrior. Largest of her kind, the Queen's Wrath and Fury of the Xer'Sai laid waste to entire regions of the Shuriman empire when it was in its prime. A somewhat tanky diving class fighter on the rift, Rek'Sai can sense the presence of enemies as she skulks through the earth. She can prepare deadly attacks from creative angles, and score some sweet knock-ups for her teammates to follow up on.
Not only can she Burrow through the blazing sands of the desert, she has also made a valley of rock and bone near Sai Kahleek her feeding ground. Upon mauling her prey with a Furious Bite, she seems to take their life essence and corrupt it, reinforcing the matrix of Void burrows she has been working on to create a nexus between the Void and Runeterra. She haunts the sands of the Sai Kahleek, the primal scream of her Void Rush lost amidst flesh-stripping sandstorms. A fearsome opponent in any match, only one Voidborn champion is more formidable than the Queen of the Xer'Sai.
1 Cho’Gath, Th👍e Terror Of The Void
A creature of 💙the Void so horrific, most dare not speak their name. Cho’Gath is the embodiment of the brutality and animosity exhibited by the Void toward all life that does not originate from that oblivion. A true Carnivore, this Voidborn will Feast on a꧑nything before them, their Feral Scream able to strike fear into even the most stalwart soldier. In this insatiable hunger, this champion could theoretically grow to sizes large enough to consume entire worlds.
Cho’Gath can even Rupture the very ground with a stomp, easily perforating flesh with Vorpal Spikes. Furthermore, Cho’Gath possesses sapience, a quality that, when paired with brute strength, proves to be quite lethal. True to their designation, this champion is a nightmarish tank to face in the late-game. They can grow to sizes larger than turrets and become extremely difficult to kill, with ridiculous amounts of health and the resistances gained through items. Cho'Gath provides intimidating frontline presence, crowd control, and peel to ensure their team succeeds.
The Void was a very real threat to Runeterra in the distant past and continues to loom ominously close for the opening to destroy it. Its Voidborn constructs are watching and waiting for the opportune time to smite all life from existence. In-game, Cho'Gath is perhaps the most devastating of all.
