One of the best things about Ahri's kit is its flexibility regarding combos. Though some might call her a "low skill expression" champion, she can set up some serious plays alone and with others. As such, there are a number of combos to learn for her.

Combo 1: The Basics

Core Summoner Spells

Ahri's ultimate definitely offers some escape and engage, but it is by no means a "get out of jail free card". She needs Flash for added engage capability and to escape hypermobile champs and jungle ganks.

The majority of the time, Ignite should be the othe𓃲r summoner spell for Ahri. It adds to her damage out❀put and helps counter any healing from enemy champions.

Situational Items

Infinity Orb - this item is fantastic if Ahri is present f𓃲or a lot of team fights. It grants bonus health, AP, magic penetration, movement speed, and deals more damage against low-health enemies.

Twisted Fate - some fans think TF is weak against Ahri and many players probably would be. But TF can do more for a team and have more successful roams than Ahri. In order to counter that, you must be much more map aware as Ahri.
Fizz - though not as hard of a counter as an assassin, Fizz's kit is just madness. Even compared to Ahri who has great mobility, Fizz has a dash, can go invulnerable, and has a ranged, lock-on ultimate ability.
Yasuo - he has an ability to block two of your abilities and can gap-close from huge distances. To that end, Yone might also be a difficult lane matchup for Ahri.
Orianna - this is, by far, the worst matchup possible for an Ahri Mid Lane player. She has more range, a shield, and can poke you nonstop. Laning against an Orianna requires confident all-ins, fancy footwork to dodge her Q, and even some counter-building when appropriate.
