One of the most popular and hyped-up traditions in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:League of Legends esports returned on Thursday, with the release of this year's annual Worlds✤ Anthem, .
Every year, Riot Games produces and releases a Worlds Anthem, aimed primarily at garnering hype for the League of Legends World Championship, and 2020's Take Over, marks the seventh installment of the annual tradition. From the Imagine Dragons' Warriors in 2014, to Legends Never Die in 2017, to RISE in🐻 2018 and now Take Over in 2020, the popularity of the Worlds Anthems have etched them into the game's culture, and made them a significant part of the esports lore.
Take Over follows the journey of a young League of Legends player on the rise. After he crashes his bike while riding🉐 with his pink-haired friend, the protagonist has an encounter with a hooded Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, who helps him up and gives him a gemstone with an image of a ward on it. The player takes the gem, and enters a building appropriately named, "The Demon King" (with Faker's nickname being the Unkillable Demon King, ඣof course).
The gem is then placed in a slot next to a computer, and the protagonist is transported to another dimension, presumably into the game, where he faces off against an armored Enrique "xPeke" Cedeño Martínez, armed with the powers of his signature champion, Kassadin. The protagonist is soundly defeated, and returned to the real world, where the gem pops out of the slot and falls to the ground. The hooded Faker, suddenly appears behind the defeated protagonist, who then takes off his hood to reveal himself, and enc💜ouragingly hands the protagonist the gem back. He takes it, and determinedly puts it back into the slot, where he is transported back into the game, but this time, he is ready for the battles to come.
The protagonist, with the encouragement of Faker behind him, defeats xPeke, takes Kassadin's weapon, and moves on to the next oppon𓂃ent. The next one, Samsung White's Cho "Mataꦫ" Se-hyeong, armed with the powers of his signature champion, Thresh, defeats the protagonist, sending him back to reality. But, yet again, Faker is there, and the protagonist runs it back one more time.
The protagonist then faces off against, the game's various legends, including Invictus Gaming's Yu "JackeyLove" Wen-Bo on Xayah, Sa🦂msung Galaxy🍬's Lee "Crown" Min-ho and his Galio, Chang "BeBe" Bo-Wei of the Taipei Assassins on Caitlyn and FunPlus Phoenix's Gao "Tian" Tian-Liang on Lee Sin. The protagonist goes on a journey of fighting these players, learning from his mistakes, gaining their weapons and taking their proverbial torches as he defeats each one. At the end, he makes it to the Worlds stage, where he meets his pink-haired friend from the very beginning, who shows him her very own gemstone.
The video, which was written by the Riot Music Team, Alex Seaver of Mako, and Cal Scruby, and featured artists Jeremy McKinnon, MAX, and Henry had hundreds of thousands of views in minutes after it premiered live on YouTube, an🔯d reached the millio🍷ns count in just a few hours. Worlds is set to begin on September 25.
