The person calling themselves TeapotUberHacker is apparently trying to sell the source code for GTA 5 and an unspecified number of confidential documents for GTA 6. The hacker leaked several dozen videos of gameplay from GTA 6 earlier today and claims to have stolen the source code for both GTA 5 and GTA 6. They also claim to be the hacker responsible for the recent attack on Uber, thus the name.“Here are 90 footage/ clips from GTA 6,” TeapotUberHacker announced on GTA Forums. “It’s possible I could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build.” The hacker included their Telegram handle, noting later how “this has gone unexpectedly viral, woke up to 3,000 Telegram direct messages. If you are an employee of Rockstar or Take-Two and you're trying to contact me, send me a message containing ‘22559219889638875756’ on Telegram.” TeapotUberHacker added that “I will try to read all these replies soon. I am looking to negotiate a deal.” This was followed by several claiming the source code for GTA 5 had been purchased for $100,000 worth of Bitcoin. These finally proved to be questionable, TeapotUberHacker that all of the source code for GTA 5 remains up for sale. “All source code and assets for GTA 5 are available along with the GTA 6 documents,” the hacker stated. “GTA 6 source code not for sale at this moment. No offers under five figures.”TeapotUberHacker appears to be ransoming the source code for GTA 6 back to Rockstar and Take-Two, offering the slightly less lucrative source code for GTA 5 and the confidential documents for GTA 6 to the highest bidder. In a rather fitting🀅 twist of fate, the hacker has now of the address to which the Bitcoin had been sent, meaning that someone has effectively been scammed out of $100,000 by an impersonator.
The leak is turning into a legal headache, but the real victims are the people currently working on GTA 6. According to sources in both Rockstar and Take-Two, the developers 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:have been “devastatedℱ” by the news, many referring to the leak as a “nightmare.” The industry insi𒁃der Jason Schreier noted that "I've confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend's massive GTA 6 leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course. This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar."
