As of this writing, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend of Zelda franchise is over thirty years old now. More importantly, it still has games coming out with each passing year. It could be said that any game can reach the thirty year milestone. Castlevania is also over thirty but does that have anything going on besides the anime? Not really. Zelda, on the other💫 hand, has been stayi♓ng the course for decades.

But as beloved as this series is, it's really starting to feel its age. In fact, franchise veterans would argue that this problem has been going on for quite some time. As mentioned earlier, at least Castlevania has branched out into new territory while Zelda has been going through theꦫ motions for years. The biggest change so far was th🌼e entirety of Breath of the Wild, but there is more w൲ork to be done.  Here is everything wrong with the franchise so far, and how they can be fixed.

8 Same Old Genre

Cadence of Hyrule

Since The Legend of Zelda launched for the NES, the series has kept theಌ same style of action adventure for every entry into the franchise. Yes, the games did evolve especially when it got into 3D, but it rarely𝓀 breaks from tradition.

The series has had spin-offs to branch off into new genres like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cadence of Hyrule last year, plus Zelda II: Link’s Adventure, which more like a 2D RPG than anything. With that last example alone, it would be great to see this series try to go for an actual RPG adventure with level💮ing up and all that good stuff.

7 Same Old Hero

Link is as classic a hero as Mario, but that s♍aid, each franchise has so many interesting characters who aren't the protagonists. Why not mine the depths of the lore and take a look at some potential spin-offs starring Link's friends?

The closest game to make Zelda a hero was in Hyrule Warriors, which was in-turn a spinoff to Dynasty WarriorsPrincess Peach even got her own game, Super Princess Peach, which is often an overlooked DS classic. Fans have been speculating, based on the only trailer seem so far of Breath of the Wild 2, that Zelda herself will be playable in the༺ near futu🎉re. That is the hope, at least.

6 Add Multiplayer For The Main Series

Multiplayer has been an odd experiment for this franchise. The first was via the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Game Boy Advance re-release of A Link to the Past with an offshoot mini game included. There was a sequel to that concept 🐻on the GameCube and somewhat recently a three player, puzzle adventure on 3DS. Th💛e results of all three were mixed. Then there was the aforementioned Hyrule Warriors with co-op.

All of these ideas felt like half-steps into something greater. How to fix it? Well, what if Zelda and Link could play together in Breath of the Wild 2? Why not commit to improving the multiplayer and add🎉 it to the mainline franchise?

5 Same Old Villain

4 Calamity Ganon

Here's a hꦅot take: It’s time to give Ganon a rest. Yes, he is an iconic video game villain and he's as synonymous to♕ the franchise as is Link and Zelda, but enough is enough. It’s not as if the series hasn’t experimented before with someone else.

Two examples include Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess, but even with those new villains it eventually came back to Ganon in some way. There is an easy way to get rid of Ganon as the villain, and that's to retire this iconic b🌼addie for good and think of something new. Speaking of which...

4 Same Old Hyrule

Take a trip to a new kingdom, Link. Mario has done it in the past to give the series a fresh start with something new other than the Mushroom Kingdom. This is most notable in the various RPG games. Based on concept art for Breath of the Wild, there was an ide🍰a to take the game in a futuristic direction, but it was ultimately scrapped.

One of the reasons could be that Nintendo didn’t want to alienate old fans that didn’t want change. Change is indeed a scary thing but without it, players are doomed to repeat the same scenarios over and over again which could lead to stagnation. So, a future setting, or maybe even a feudal one, would be interesting takes. Maybe do the island thing again like in Wind Waker.

3 Same Old Quests

This sort of goes along with the other entries, especially the first in regard to genre, but the process of e🍃ach new quest all boils down to💃 the same ideas.

Collect heart pieces to build up health. Collect weapons and tools to make Link stronger and to♏ solve puzzles. Rescue Zelda. Fight Ganon. At this point, series veterans memorized this and just sing it to themselves whenever they boot up the latest ꦕinstallment. Again, the mold has been broken before but not that often. Creating an RPG would at least eliminate the idea of heart pieces.

2 Everything Specifically Wrong About Breath Of💎 🏅The Wild

For many longtime fans, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild is the big piece in the puzzle that broke a lot of traditions and fixed some issues. That sai𝓡d, it too had problems so it deserves its own litt𝔍le entry as a blanket way to call out said problems.

First of all, the weapon durability was broken. They need to♛ be stronger, or just not break at all. Rain was never fun to encounter and happened all too often thus causing a halt in exploration. And finally, if one is going to make we𒊎apons break, at least make the inventory size, at the start, at least ten times bigger.

1 Voice Acting (Or The Lack Thereof)

As a small but still important note, it should be said that this series desperately needs voice acting. There was some in Breath of the Wild, but there were issues. One, it was far and few between. Two, some fans hadꦬ a problem with the actual quality, which begs the question why it was even added in the first place.

It's obvious that Nintendo has the funds and resources to get better actors and ♊or least a♚ better crew for such work. Text-based dialogue is an old, outdated mentality for such a sprawling adventure that keeps improving on a technical basis. It isn’t as crucial to get right as the other suggestions, but still a note worth mentioning.
