168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lethal Company has taken social media and the gaming community by storm, somehow making an intergalactic version of late-stage capitalism look fun and exciting, but also terrifying; not in an exploitative or systemic way, but in a, "Oh my god, I'm about to be eaten by a monster!" kind of way.

7 🐻 🎃 Hide When You Hear Thumpers

A fleshy Thumper head with googly eyes overlayed over a blurred, in-game screenshot.

Unlike Eyeless Dogs, Thumpers can easily spot you, and will make a mighty roar to indicate that the chase is on. The good news is, Thumpers are completely deaf, and funnily enough, lack object permanence, which means if you're lucky enough to lose one, it will investigate the area it last saw you.

Given this information, it's a good idea to simply avoid being spotted entirely, and quickly turn around if you hear a Thumper patrolling nearby, especially if you have no way to damage it. Otherwise, do your best to hightail it out of there. You wouldn't abandon your friend to save yourself, right?

6 Corners And Tight Turns Arꦇe Your Friends

A long, dimly lit corridor with copper piping twisting along the walls.

If you've been spotted by a Thumper and it's barreling towards you, keep in mind that running down long corridors is a surefire way to get eaten, since these creatures are terrifyingly fast when running in straigꦿht lines, and willꦺ easily catch up to you.

What Thumpers don't deal with very well, however, are tight turns and corners. If possible, round every corner you see, to both slow the Thumper down and force it to build up its speed again, and hope tha♛t you broke its line of sight long enough to interrupt the chase.

5 Don't Bother Standing On Rails

A first-person view of a player standing on top of thin, metal, yellow railing.

Standing on the yellow railing of various moons with bunker layouts, such as Experimentat🧸ion or Vow, used to be a cheesy way to bonk a Thumper on the head with a shovel without taking any damage in return.

You need to hit quota after all.

As of Update 45, though, developer Zeekerss has fixed this exploit, which means attempting to fight a Thumper on some railing will likely be a waste of time and cost you a part of your health bar, or in a worst case scenario, t🌺urn you into Thumper food or send you plummeting down a dark, concrete shaft.

4 ♎ Know Thy 🅠Enemy, And Thy Shovel

Although methodically studying a game and devising an effective meta isn't for everyone, it helps to know at least two basic things if you decide to go head-to-head with a Thumper:

  • If you're full health, it only takes three bites for a Thumper to kill you.
  • You're going to have to bonk a Thumper at least four times to kill it.

Obviously, this is going to be the most challenging if you're fighting alone, but if you have some friends with you, a good strategy is to have one player distract the Thumper while one or more players hit it with a shovel.

3 🧸 Doors Can Buy You Some Time ꦿ

A first-person view of a player looking at a grey, metal door that can be opened or closed by holding the "E" key.

While an angry Thumper can easily bash down a closed door, that second it takes for the door to open could be the difference between life and death. If you're the last person in a line of players fleeing from a Thumper, make a habit of closing doors behind you.

Although, use your wits and discretion; if closing a door means taking a hit from a Thumper when you're low health, it'd be better to turn a corner and try to break the line of sight instead, or convince everyone to start fighting.

2 ༺ Make A Leap Of Faith

A first-person view of two, metal pathways with rails, separated by a deep, dark gap.

By now, you've probably noticed the pits between two railed pathways, partially bridged by a metal beam that you can use to make it to the other side. It is, after all, a rite of passage in this game to see either a friend, or yourself, mess up that jump and fall into an inky abyss.

Somehow a small child is the scariest thin꧃g on those frightful moons.

If you're willing to take on that risk while being chased by a Thumper, though, successfully making that leap of faith is a great way to break line of sight and flee to safety. If you mess up the jump, you can just tell your crewmates it was gravity's fault, or the Thumper's.

1 🐻 Manipulate S🅰tun Mechanics

Thumper Being Shocked By Player In Lethal Company

If you've invested in either a Stun Grenade, or a Zap Gun especially, these are great tools for stunning a Thumper, allowing you and your crewmates to eitꦑher run away, or turn the tables and beat it down with your shovels and road signs.

If you don't have either of these tools, though, a simple shovel can get the job done, if used skillfully; hitting a Thumper with a shovel reduces its speed, and with proper timing, you can completely stunlock one until it fa🌟lls, while ༺taking little to no damage yourself.
