How can you get around the police﷽ officer and reach the top of the hill?
Each one you find gives you a glimpse into the moment the photo was taken, as if from another time or reality. You soon find out that all of them have been taken by Max, yet sh♐e doesn't remember taking them. But where can you find th🌱em all, and what happens when you find them all?
What Are The Polaroid Photos And Who Took Them?
While you're walking around, the game gives you plenty of things you can interact with to either look at it, take a snapshot, or examine. In addition to these, you'll find random polaroid photos around the ga𒈔me that you can take to add to your collection.
The first few that you find have blank titles, so it's not clear who took the photos until you find the Snowball War one in Chapter 2. Max mentions that it's her handwriting on the snapshot.
Each photo you find has captured a moment with Max and some of her friends, and you'll hear dialog and sounds from each moment when you take each photo. However, Max mentions a few times that she doesn't remember these moments.
It seems that some other Max in another world, one that we don't get to visit, has taken these snapshots and left them around Caledon campus for you to find.
If you ever miss picking up one of the polaroids, the game lets you revisit scenes in each chapter so you can find any missing collectibles.
When you've found every polaroid photo in the game you'll unlock the Archival Footage trophy/achievement.

The timelines don't split till the very end of Chapter 1, so all the polaroids you'll find here are in the original world, which is later be referred to as Dead World.

The first three of the five photos to find in Chapter 3 are in the third scene, when𓂃 you'rꦐe investigating people in the FAB and in Admin.
The last photo in this chapter can be found before looking for the intruder in Max's house, otherwise you'll move on to the next chapter and miss it.

There are only four photos to find in Chapter 4. The first one you'll find in the beginning while talking to Safi ꦇand the next two during the Krampꦇus Party.
The last one can be easy to miss, as you'll be drawn to the cyclone of the storm by the observatory. Before you do, head over to the pergola and the p🌳hot💝o will be on one of the picnic tables.
