Martin is also referred to in the game as "phone guy". While you're wandering around the FAB during Chapter 3 in Dead World, you can overhear him talking on the phone about how his professor has it out for him. But this isn't required to start the task.

Checking Martin Hart's Grade In Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.

The office next to Lucas' is the office of Professor Carlsen. Go inside and read the grades on his desk. Max says she remembers Safi telling her that the professor had it out for this one kid, but that failing him seems harsh.

If you try to interact with the computer to change the grade, Max says she needs a password first, which you can get in the Living World.

Use the shift point by the FAB cafe and shift into Living World, then read the same grade sheet. This Martin has an A, of course, but this version of the grade sheet also has the password on the bottom of the page.

Next, go back to Dead World, and interact with the professor's computer to change Martin's grade.
