Enter Chau Ka Long.

Chau Ka Long is walking a similar path to Kiryu these days, taking a new name, and living a new life (as well as looking pretty cool for an older dude). But that doesn't make him feel sympathetic to Kiryu's plight. He's only interested in settling an old score. And if you don't come ওprepared, it isn't likely to go well for Kiryu and his compatriots.

Fight Preparation For Chau Ka Long

Kiryu will unlock his Dragon Resurgence special ability in Chapter 8. This skill will help you in the Long fight greatly. So, you may want to wait until you have completed the "Return to Sender" objective partway through the chapter before tackliℱng Chau Ka Long.

For starters, Chau Ka Long is level 32. So, you want to at least be hovering close to that level before you confront him. You should also have four-star level equipment if possible. This ma🃏n is a m♛enace, so you really want to be prepared.

Moreover, when fighting Chau Ka Long you will want to make sure you have access to attacks that carry the electricity attribute, as that is his primary weakness. The best way to take advantage of this is to get all🥃 the guys up to level 20 in the Aquanaut job, which will allow them to inherit the Jellyfish Juice ability.

Saeko, on the other hand, should get to level 2ཧ0 of the Night Queen class so that she can have access to the Vital Vibration skill. Seonhee ꦰalready has plenty of lightning-based attacks in her base-class, so that isn't as big a deal for her.

Make sure to enhance your weapons as well. You can apply the "Seal of Bolts" to any weapon to increase the amount of electric damage its user dishes out. Better yet, where possible, get your characters a weapon that applies the electricity 🔯element.

Long's attacks tend to cause bleeding. So, you will want to have an answer for the bleeding effect. One thing you can do is to max out your supply of Astringent Gauzes and All-Purpose Remedies. Beyond that, you can switch your male character to the chef class, which will greatly enhance their resistance to 🌃the bleed effect. Of course, certain abilities will also help to solve this issue.

Getting either Saeko or Seonhee to level 18 in the Idol class means they will be able to cure party members of the bleed effect. This is a pow🌞erful means for keepinꦆg your party kickin'.

Make sure to have Ceremonial Tea on hand. You can purchase this item from the Yi Xing Tang shop. Not only does it completely remove all status ailments, but it also recovers 200 mp for the entire party. You are going to be using a ton of skills to take advantage of Long's weakness to electricity, so you will be running short on MP.

This is more general advice than anything else, but bank most of your money in an ATM before fighting Chau Ka Long (leave around ¥40,000 for continues). That way you don't lose yo🐈ur house if he rushes Kiryu and takes him out.

Fighting Chau Ka Long

Chau Ka Long is extraordinarily brutal. He hits hard, causes the aforementioned bleeding effect, and is fast, so he will get multiple turns. If that's not bad enough (and it should be), his attacks will also hit nearby allies. And your allies don't have to be that close to each other to get pulled in, either.

However, since you read the previous section, you came prepared. You are going to be hitting Chau Ka Long with electricity-based attacks every round to take advantage of his weakness. Additionally, every party member will have a heal, and you will have plenty of items to cure bleeding to go around.

If💫 you have obtained Saeko's Boom Bag, then her Clobber Wheel will be imbued with electricity and will be an invaluable attack.

Just keep hammering Long with electricity attacks, and keeping your party members healed. Even if you are rocking four-star gear (which is solid for Chapter 8), then Long will still be more than capable of killing a party member in two turns. So, d꧂on't get lazy with those heals, and ensure Kiryu is ALWAYS fully healed.

Speaking of Kiryu, remember that he has the Essence of Tonfa in his Dragon of Dojima job class. This wil💫l 𝄹deal hefty damage if you have already shocked Long, and have him stunned, and it is inexpensive.

Reward

Once you beat Chau Ka Long you will be rewarded with a massive 43,500 Experience, 39,150 Job Experience, and ¥2,250,000. However, the best reward is the Rings of the Master, which awards you which greatly increases Job EXP for the Martial Artist class.

You will also unlock Chau Ka Long's Armory, which carries 6-star weapons, though you won't likely have the money to buy any of them unless you have been doing a TON of gambling.

Naturally, you will also have Ch♐au Ka Long added to your Sujidex once you beat him. Gotta catch 'em all!
