This guide is going to give 💯you the lowdown on everything you could possibly need to know about the bond system, the numerous ways to build bonds with your party members, and what types of abilities are tethered to the bond level of each character. This guide will give you everything you need to know to be everybody's friend in no time flat!
All The Small Ways For Building Bonds
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, it is important to note that most things you do will build your bond level with different characters. Fight a battle? That will build your Bond Level. Eat at a restaurant? That, too, will build your bond. All this stuff is pretty routine, but it should also inform how you tackle certain situations. As an example, when possible, you should always heal by eating food at a restaurant. Only use items🌳 when you are far away from an eatery and are just topping u𒀰p your health.
Building Bonds Through Chatting
When you engage in dialogue with your party members you will enhance your bond level with all the party members involved. But there isn't just one type of conversation you will engage inܫ with your party members; ther🔯e are three.
Party Chats
For starters, there are Party Chats. These appear as green speech bubbles on the map if you have all the required party members. These are some of the trickiest dialogues to hunt down, as they aren't shown on the map. Instead, you will just have to stumble upon them. Keep an eye on the mini-map, as they will be shown there.
You don't need to have all the correct characters in you♛r party for the Party Chats to materialize. It is fine if a prerequisite character is in your reserve pool.
Walk And Talks
The next kind of chat is the Walk And Talk. These operate a lot like the Party Chats, but they are conversations between the party leader and the party member attached to that specific Walk And Talk. Unlike the Party Chats, these are indicated on the main map, which makes them a lot easier to round up. Each Walk And Talk is associated with a Bond Bingo square, and characters get a massive boost to their bond when they get a bingo.
While Walk And Talks do appear on the maꦦin map, not every character will have all their Walk And Talks available upon recruiting. Some Walk And Talks will only become available in a later chapter.
Combo Meal Conversations
Additionally, there are group conversations that occur when you eat specific Combo Meals in restaurants. You will know if there is a conversation associated with a meal if there is a little speech bubble beside it.
While you could fiddle around and try to figu👍re out these Combo Meal recipes yourself, we have already done the footwork and have a complete list of every Combo Meal for both Yokohama and Honolulu. Feel free to use those guides to easily access those Group Chats.
If you see a speech bubble with a small x on it, that means you don't have the necessary party members on your team for theꦚ group chat to occur.
Drink Link
It is worth noting that there is a fourth conversation type that unlocks as you improve your bond. However, while these one-on-one conversations will improve Kaguga's Personality and Kiryꦅu's Awakening, they won't improve their bond with the character they are speaking to.
Building Bonds By Playing Minigames
While the majority of mini-games will have no effect on your bond links, group activities will absolutely affect your bonds. As an example, if you challenge someone to darts, you will get a large boost to their bond rank. Beating them will yield more points. Additionally, singing Karaoke songs gives a boost to every single party member's bond. Perfo꧃rmance quality matters, though, so don't biff it if you want to get a large bond increase!
Building Bonds With Gifts
Finally, there are a number of stores all over Ijincho and Honolulu that will sell gifts. Gifts won't provide the same boost across the board, try to match them to a character's interests as best as you can. That being said, even if you choose the wrong character for a gift, you still seem to get a pretty respectable boost.
