Little Nightmares II crept up on Gamescom with a new trailer, and with it came solid confirmation of a release date. Previously announced at Gamescom 2019, the game will be coming February 11, following prior reports that it w✨ould drop in December.
The game, a follow-up to the oft-overlooked 2017 horror platfor♕mer, will put you in the teeny, tiny shoes of Mono, who rocks a snazzy cape and a stylish bag on his head. Original protagonist Six will also be present, but she'll be relegated 🤡to an AI-controlled partner role this go-round. This ragtag duo, free from the clutches of the previous game's Maw, will traverse a treacherous city in order to reach the Black Tower. Inside the Black Tower, the enigmatic Broadcaster oversees the city's numerous monstrosities, and needs to be taken care of to ensure Mono and Six's safety.
From the look of it, Little Nightmares II will offer tꦫhe same basic gameplay of the previ𓃲ous title, but with clear mechanical and visual improvements. The puzzle-platformer is sure to offer up a cornucopia of terrifying, dreamlike imagery ripped straight from your worst nightmares. It also seems like practically anyone can experience the title this time around, as there'll be a simultaneous release on all platforms.
Little Nightmares II launches February 11 for the PlayStation 4,♈ Xb𒁏ox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
