Nightdive Studios' classic first-person adventure, System Shock, isn't just getting a video game remake anymore. Binge, an upcoming streaming platform, just announced it's producing a live-action series based on the 1994 franchise, with Nightdive CEO Stephen Kick and director of business development Larry Kuperman onboard the project as executive producers.
The live-action System Shock will be produced by Allan Ungar—who may be best remembered by fans of Naughty Dog as the co-writer and director on a popular Uncharted fan film with Nathan Fillion. Binge holds exclusive rights to the series, and it's the same service that will begin streaming a new 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:TV adaption of Ubisoft's Driver in 2022.
In a press release sent to TheGamer, Kick said television is "the perfect medium to retell the harrowing story of Citadel station and its rogue AI," but didn't share details on when the creepy confrontation against Shodan would air its live-action adaptation. Binge isn't out just yet, either, and is set to launch its streaming service sometime in 2022. The free platform is described as hosting "premium content inspired by the most popular video game worlds and content creators."
