Loop Hero is a complicated game with a variety of strategies, balanced bet๊ween the cards you play and the gear you collect along the way. One of three currently available classes, the Necromancer, specializes in summoning skeletons to tackle the Ratwolves, Vampires, and Spiders on your loop.
Playing a successful Necromancer build requires a bit of know-how when it comes to which cards to play and which items to prioritize. A strong Necromancer build is considered one of the more powerful classes in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Loop Hero in its current state. Here's what you should aim for if you're struggling to reach and defeat the various Loop Hero bosses.
Updated August 24th by Harry Alston: We're updating our Loop Hero guide for the best Necromancer build to a) celebrate the launch of Loop Hero on the Nintendo Switch, and b) the recent July update that added new cards and tiles to the game. These include the Swamp Witch Huts and some brand new interactions between Forests and Deserts that do impact the Necromancer build.
11 How Have The Recent Patch Changes Impacted The Necr𝓰omancer Build?
If you're playing Loop Hero for the first time on Nintendo Switch or jumping in since the recent patch changes, here's everything that has been changed, and how it impacts the best Necromancer build.
- The best Necromancer build heavily relies on Attack Speed, using Desert tiles and Forest along the river to increase attack speed (summoning time.)
- This build has been impacted by the July patch, due to the new interactions between Deserts and Forest: Desert tiles placed next to Forest tiles now spawn Maquis tiles. These tiles reduce enemy damage, but also increase their attack speed. They replace the Forest and Desert tile bonuses, somewhat reducing the effectiveness of the build.
- However, the Necromancer can still make use of the Maquis tiles. For example, placing Swamps for Mosquitos to spawn can help the Necromancer clear out large groups of enemies due to a Mosquito explosion.
The decreased damage on enemies paired with the high attack speed actually works well with the Necromancer class. Skeletons may die faster but will be summoned quickly due to the Necromancer's increase of summoning speed with attack speed. There is a potential build that makes use of the Maquis tiles.
10 ♎ Prioritize Attack Speed
Unlike the Rogue or Warrior, the Necromancer's attack speed statistic doesn't govern how quickly the skeletons attack, but rather how quickly they are summoned. High attack speed is essential for a Necromancer run that has enough ♑sustain and😼 enough damage to last into the end-game.
That being said, you shouldn't choose items that boost your attack speed (there are better options) but rather place down cards that increase attack speed. Attack speed appears first in this guide because it is a crucial part of a powerful Necromancer build.
9 Forest An⛄d Thicket Cards Are Overpowered
The Forest building in the player's camp is accessed by first unlocking the Supply Depot and Intel Center. To build one Forest requires three orbs of Evolution and two Metamorphosis resources.

Once built, players will be able to place the Forest and Thicket cards on the𝓀ir loop. Forest boosts attack speed by one percent, and Thicket cards by twꦿo percent. This stacking effect allows for insane attack speed stats. Watch out for the Village? cards that spawn when Thickets and Forests are placed in large numbers. The Wooden Warriors that spawn shred through skeletons with their Counter ability.
8 Desert And Sand Dune Work Well With Necromanc🏅er ꦑ
꧟The Desert and Sand Dune cards are unlocked once the player completes the Intel Center in the main camp. These cards work well with Necromancer because they reduce the overall health of all enemies by 0.5 percent and o🍸ne percent respectively.
This makes the skeletons much more effective, as they are unaffected by the health decrease. You may want to hold onto these cards until the 𝄹mid-game,𒆙 as occasionally it is preferable for skeletons to die more regularly at the beginning of the game. More on that in a moment.
7 ✅ ܫ River Synergy
The River꧑ card is extremely powerful. It doubles the effectiveness of all landscape cards when placed adjacent to the River. This means the two percent of attack speed bonus a Thicket provides is doubled to four percent.
When Sand Dunes are placed next to a River they transform the tile into an Oasis. This decreases attack speed for everything on the loop, including the player's character. However, this is beneficial for the Necromancer: with the stacked Thickets your attack speed is still going to be high, but the spiders and Ratwolves on your loop are slowed down.
6 Spider Cocoo💜n Is A Powerful Card
Quite a few players are scared of the Spider Cocoon because of the sheer amount of enemies it spawns. Spiders spawn quickly and stack up to four on each tile. They attack quickly and can be quite 🧸devastating if the player is caught off-guard.
However, Spiders are a top choice for a successful build because they provide the player with lots of cards. The more monsters you spawn the more opportunities you'll get to place Thickets, Rivers, Groves, and other useful cards.
5 Grove And Blood Grove Are Essential 🅺
The Grove and Blood Grove cards are available right from the start of the game, and they remain important all the way into Chapter 4 of Loop Hero. The Grove spawns Ratwolves which aren't particularly difficult for a Necromancer to handle, but it's the adjacent Blood Groves that are most useful.
Blood Groves will destroy any enemy that is at 15 percent or lower health. Initially, this helps with clearing hordes of spiders, but when it comes to facing the boss that 15 peꦆrcent can be crucial. If you Oblivion the Grove the Blood Grove will transform into a Hungry ﷽Grove, which boosts the number to 20 percent.
4 ﷺ Villages And Vampire Mansion🐼s
When a Vampire Mansion is placed next to a Village it creates a Ransacked Village. This spawns four ghouls for three loops and can be tricky to defeat in the early game. However, once the Village turns into a Count's Lands after three loops, it is an essential part of a successful Necromancer build.
The Count's Land provides significant healing and improved quests. This guarantees better items and more sustainability, healing up any damage you might take while traversing the loop. So overall, the best cards for Necromancer are Forest, Desert, Rivers, Grove and Blood Grove, Spiders, Villages, and Vampire Mansions. Other optional cards include the Battlefield and the Cemetery for the good loot drops.
3 Focus On Max Skeleton𓆉s, Then Skeleton Level 🐲
In terms of the gear you should prioritize, Max Skeletons should be your main focus. More skeletons mean more damage to the enemy and less damage taken by the player's character. With the boosted attack speed, a player can easily summon 6 or so skeletons, with the backline stacked with ranged Skeleton Archers.
Next, you should prioritize Skeleton Level. This is a fundamental statistic for the Necromancer class. It essentially governs the health and damage of your skeletons, and you should always try and keep up with the loop l♛evel.
2 ♍ The Best Perks For Necromancer 🌠
The Necromancer class a bunch of us♚eful utility in its perks, but there are a few you should always keep an eye out for. Picking the right perks at the right stage of the game is very important if you want to progress further in Loop Hero.
First of all, pick up Unseen Care early if you can. This perk provides a +0.5 bonus to your energy armor for every skeleton summoned. Paired with the Max Skeleton gear you should be able to become a tank by the later loops. Next up, Laying Down One's Life. This perk spreads out damage dealt to the player's character between all the summoned skeletons. Lastly, Art of Control. This is a flat upgrade that allows +1 max skeletons and fits right into this build.
