Lost Judgement is the latest game in the Judgment series, which is the successor to the action-line of Yakuza games. While the Yakuza series is known for going pretty far off the rails by the time the credits roll, Lost Judgment's ending is largely pretty orderly. Still, it would be a giant leap to say that we weren't left with any questions.

In fact, there are a number of mysteries that remain wholly unresolved. These are the type of loose threads that could keep a haggard detective up at night. Unfortunately, these questions will probably have to go unanswered, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth asking.

10 Takano, The Arrogant Lawyer 💮

Takano (from Lost Judgement) admitting that he had been arrogant

While not seen as frequently as he was in the first game, the combative prosecutor, Sadao Takano, was still present as the opposing prosecutor in both trials. And as per usual, he was utterly insufferable — that is, at least, until the conclusion of Ehara's retrial, at which point Takano was surprisingly humble in defeat.

This looked like a genuine heel turn for the once unbearable Takano. In fact, by the end of the game, as Takano stood in front of Bando and said that he wouldn't stand for injustice, he damn near came across as heroic. The big question here is if this is a new look for Takano. Will this progress into the next game?

9 Collateral Damage 🔯

Lost Judgement the children of murderers

We know that the house of cards is coming down and that there were several innocents caught up in🤪 the mess. We already know about Miꩵtsuru Kusumoto, who appears to be in a good place by the end of the game.

But what about Mamiya's child? It isn't unfair to say that one of the primary themes of Lost Judgment is how taking justice into your own hands can cause immense collateral damage. What we don't know is what kind of collateral damage will be caused by this murder ring being exposed; just that it is likely to be substantial.

8 Will They Or Won't They

Lost Judgment's Mafuyu

While Mafuyu played a smaller role in Lost Judgement, she still managed to make a few appearances. In those appearances, one thing remained pretty clear: there is definitely still romantic tension between her and Yagami. It is also notable that no other romantic leads were introduced throughout the main campaign in Lost Judgment (the side-missions don't count).

Maybe Yagami is destined to never pursue love, instead being married to justice (or some n🍷onsense), and maybe it would be hard to be in a relationship with someone who refuses to sleep on a bed (it is canon, people, Yagami only has eyes couches). However, it woul💖d be nice to have a little more closure when it comes to their relationship.

7 🌳 What Happens To The RK Now

A picture of Lost Judgement's gang known as the "RK"

Welcome to the wonderful world of a power vacuum. The RK members were largely cast-off yakuza (many of them ex-Tojo clan bottom feeders). Now, once again, these ne'er-do-wells have been left leaderless. Soma was right about one thing: someone needs to fill the void.

But who will claim the throne now that both Soma and Akutsu are out of the picture? Will the RK disperse and form smaller gangs? Will a more established clan come in and pick up the stragglers while claiming the oh-so-important 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Kamurocho? It is impossible to say. What we do know, pretty conclusively, is that the members of the RK aren't likely to reform.

6 🐻 ♔ Mamiya And The Rest Of The Collaborators

Lost Judgment's Mamiya

By the end of the game, the fate of Kuwana's collaborators is completely unknown (well, outside of Akaike). Mamiya is probably going to face consequences of some sort, as her collaboration with Kuwana was established in Ehara's retrial. Moreover, her initial false report led to Takano being embarrassed in court, so it is hard to imagine that the prosecution is going to go easy on her.

However, Mamiya wasn't the only collaborator. Will the others be held accountable? How much evidence is there of their involvement? Mamiya may ultimately be their undoing if there is a plea deal involved, as she has shown herself to have a keen sense of self-preservation (to the detriment of others).

5 The Other Five K🅺uwana Victims

Lost Judgement: a picture of Shinya Kawai before he was murdered

Another unanswered question is who were the other five "victims?" And more importantly — and this is a big one — what d🍰oes this mean for the parents of the children who were severely bullied (to the point of self-harm)?

It is known that Kuwana would approach these parents and consult them about the prospect of getting revenge on these bullies. Does that mean that, with the revealin🔯g of the identities of the deceased bullies, those parents may be considered suspects? Or did Kuwana cover his tracks well enough to make sure there is no incrimin✅ating evidence?

4 Bando's Affiliates

Lost Judgement's Bando

While we don't see if Bando is convicted, it is unlikely that he is going to walk away from this incident unscathed (his chances of being acquitted seem slim). More pressingly, Bando was clearly never the brains of the operation; he was a facilitator. What comes next is extraordinarily ambiguous.

By his own admission, that whole conspiracy goes far up the ladder (and we saw that several police officers are on the take). It feels naive to think that all those responsible will be held accounta💖ble. However, it is distinctly possible that the fallout from this game will spill over into the next. As Bando himself said (forebodingly), "You best be ready."

3 🎀 ಞ Jin Kuwana

Lost Judgement's Kuwana stepping into darkness (literally and metaphorically)

The last we see of Kuwana is him walking into the shadows as Yagami stands in the light. We know that he tipped the police off about the concealed remains of the other five bullies, but we also know that he plans to fight against injustꦓice outside of the system. So what is next for Kuwana?

Yagami seems to think that the days of him hunting down bullies are over, and that is probably the case, but he very clearly isn't through with vigilante justice. Truth be told, it is hard to believe that there is a solution within the system, with how rampant the corruption is. Maybe Kuwana is the justice the💟 world of Judgment needs most. But one thing is certain: we don't know what form that justice will take.

2 🅠 Who Is The Unnamed Home Room Teacher ❀

Unknown Supervisor From Lost Judgement

Who is he? What happened to him? Did he really get away with causing this whole mess? It is amazing, but this unnamed homeroom teacher isn't mentioned outside of the one scene where Sawa sensei confesses to having actively concealed the bullying that was being engaged in during the investigation into it. Why did she conceal said bullying? Because this senior teacher pressured her to do so. Why didn't she intervene in the bullying in the first place? Because she was told not to by that same teacher.

Every step of the way, this teacher was responsible for what happened to Toshiro Ehara. The last thing we are told was that t🌊his teacher moved to another school and went unpunished. Unless he was one of the five unnamed Kuwana "victims," then it seems like he went unpunished — ano💝ther example of a corrupt system that refuses to hold itself accountable. If that is the case, maybe Kuwana is right.

1 ♏ The Pension Fund

Lost Judgement's Kusumoto looking over her work

It is easy to get distracted by all the murdering and lose track of what all this was about: the pension fund. For a quick refresher, the only one standing in the way of the reckless handling of the pension fund was Reiko Kusumoto. Given the ending of Lost Judgment, she isn't going to be able to protect that money anymore. Granted, Bando is certainly going to be removed as well, but that doesn't mean that whoever replaces him won't have the same goals.

In fact, the "fallout" from the end of the game may be the best thing to happen to those attem🥀pting to wrest control of the retirement fund. They lost Bando, sure, but he is replaceable. Their only opponent has now been removed. What hope is there for the elde𒊎rly of Japan when people are gambling with their pensions? We hope your justice for Sawa sensei helps you sleep at night, Yagami, because you may have just damned entire generations of retirees.
