ꦍ Love And Deepspace: How To Raise Affinity With Characters✤
We'll get you wooing in no time.
Kitty Cards requires a fair bit of strategy to win, especially if you're playing Kitty Cards Advanced. You also only have a few opportunities to play Kitty Cards a week with each of the romance companions, so you need to be intentional about your strategy if you want to make the most out of eac💝h game.
Where To Play Kitty Cards
If you're ready to sit down and play a few rounds of cards with the characters, head over to the Date tab at the bottom left of your Destiny Cafe screen. The Date tab will show you all available date types you can go on to interact with the characters.
All characters have separate Date tabs and their story and Affinity progress is unique per character.
To find Kitty Cards, enter the Playtime menu and select the character you want to accompany you on a date. Here, you can either fish for plushies at the Claw Machine or start a round of Kitty Cards.
For both Kitty Cards and the Claw Machine you are only given three attempts to play per week. Your attempts will not reset until the week is up. You can use Claw Machine or Kitty Tickets to give you more chances to play, but these are difficꦚult to obtain so we don't recommend spending them often.
The three-game weekly limit is shared between all versions of Kitty Cards and all versions of the Claw Machine. It is not three chances per game type. However, Claw Machine chances are separate from Kitty Cards chances.
Once you are in the Kitty Cards menu, you can choose to either play regular or Advanced Kitty Cards.
The Basic Rules Of Kitty Cards
T💫he basic rules of Kitty Cards are fairly simple, but learning h💎ow to strategize is a different story.
To win Kitty Cards, the goal is to fill the eight teacups on the board with Kitties. Each cup has a color assigned to it, determining which kind of Kitty can be placed in the cup to award points. To win, you need to have the highest number of points on the board.
Each player starts the game with two cards. The player who goes last draws an extra card before the game starts.
On your turn, you can either play a number card or draw a number card from the draw deck. To play a number card, choose the card you want to place on the board and select a colored or blank teacup to assign that Kitty to.
Placing a number card on a cup of the same color doubles the value of that card. A blue four placed in a blue cup will give you eight points total for the cup. Placing a colored card on a blank teacup will only award you the value written on the card.
Placing a colored card on a colored cup of the wrong color will nullify the card's value entirely, awarding zero points.
If you cannot play a card or do not wish to play the cards in your hand, you can draw from the deck. If you choose to draw from the deck, your turn is over, and you must wait for the next turn to play a card again. You can only play or draw one card each round.
How To Play Normal Kitty Cards
A normal game of Kitty Cards uses all of the game's basic rules as detailed in the previous section. However, you also have the ability to trash talk or trade cards with your opponent.
There are no timers on your turn, and you can take as long as you want to make decisions. Your opponent will comment 💝on how lon🐭g it takes you to make a decision.
Sometimes, you can choose to beg your opponent to pity you and trade cards. If he accepts the trade, you will swap cards. There will be a quick timer offering you to confirm or cancel the swap.
Confirming the swap or running out of time on the timer locks the cards in your hand. Selecting cancel will ask him to trade back his hand. He can choose to deny this request if he wants.
Your opponent will also sometimes ask you to initiate a trade. You can accept or deny the trade request.
There are three rounds of normal Kitty Cards. To win, you need to win at least two out of the three rounds. At the end of the game, you will earn special Kitty Tokens as rewards. You will earn rewards even if you lose or close the game.
If you close the app while in the middle of a game of Kitty Cards, you will be prompted to continue the game upon re-entering the app. You will still earn rewards if you choose not to resume the game, but you will lose that week's chance to play.
You or your opponent can also choose to end the game early before rea♏ching the final round. You will still earn rewards for ending a game early.
How To Play Kitty Cards Advanced
Kitty Cards Advanced is as difficult as it sounds. The basic rules of Kitty Cards♑ still apply here, but with some added chaos mixed in.
Turns have two parts to them in Kitty Cards Advanced. The first half of your turn is the Assist Card phase. During this phase you will always draw one Assist Card. You can play as many Assist cards as you have in your hand, or you can choose to end the Assist Card phase by drawing an Assist Card or skipping the phase.
If you play an Assist Card, your opponent can play a special card called Meowster if they have him in their hand. Meowster nullifies the effect of whatever Assist Card you played.
If you have another Meowster in your hand, you can use it to cancel out the first Meowster. Meowster can stack infinitely, kind of like an Uno Reverse card.
On your opponent's turn, you can choose to play a Meowster from your deck if you have one to cancel out their Assist card. Meowster will cancel Assist Cards that target you as well as Assist Cards that don't target you.
Meowster cards have a timer. If the timer runs out before you decide to use the Meowster card, you lose your chance to nullify your opponent's Assist Card.
After the Assist Card phase is the Number Card phase. During this phase you can either draw a number card, play a number card, or skip the phase entirely. You can still only play one Number Card at a time.
Unlike regular Kitty Cards, there is only one round of Advanced Kity Cards.
Tips For Winning Kitty Cards
While the basic game rules are relatively easy to grasp, there are some strategies you can use to take the basics up a notch and ensure victor♚y.
Succeeding in Kitty Cards is heavily determined by how lucky you are at drawing number cards, but you can still make an impact with a bad hand. The best way to do this is to nullify colored cups with low-value Kitties of another color.
For example, say you have a feeling that Sylus has a green six card in his hand and there are only two cups left on the board, a white cup and a green cup. You have a red one card in your hand. On your turn, the best thing to do would be to play that red one on the green cup to ensure that Sy🦄lus can't use it to double⛄ his six.
Another tip to keep in mind is how to play a card when you have the upper hand. If there is only one cup left open on the board, and you have the highest point total, don't skip your turn and hope for a higher card. Play whatever card you have in your hand a🐽nd close out the round. You'll automaticall𒁏y win.
Finally, be smart about when you draw cards from the number pile. Draw from the draw pile only when you have the upper hand point-wise, when you are out of cards, or when your opponent has no choice but to draw a card in his next round. This ensures that ꧙you can play a card on your next turn.
Tips For Winning Kitty Cards Advanced
The strategy for winning Kitty Cards Advanced is a little more complicated than in a regular game. Because you now have the choice to play Assist cards, there are now dozens of ways to play a hand.
One great strategy is not to bank your Assist Cards. Assist Cards can be played back-to-back, so you can flood your opponent with penalties and give yourself valuable boosts by repeatedly playing your Assist Cards. This can create powerful chain reactions to sweep tไhe board and turn the tide in your favor.
The only cards you should be more precious about are your Number Cards and Meowsters as these only have a select number of uses. Use your Meowsters wisely as some cards have safer penalties than others.
You should almost always use Meowster to nullify the Bye-Bye card.
Another strategy is to time your Assist Cards right. Playing Assist Cards when you know your opponent has none in his hand ensures 🐽that he can't counter you with a Meowster.
If you have a Bye-Bye card in your hand, always use it to take out his highest value cup!
