A mono-blue Cheerios commander for three mana, Emry, Lurker of the Loch costs one mana less for each artifact under its owner's control. In a deck with a high number of zero-mana artifacts, Emry can reliably be cast within the first turn of a game.
Upon being cast, Emry mills the top four cards of its controller's library, while once in play, Emry can be tapped to allow its controller to cast an artifact from their graveyard. This can allow an artifact with a sacrifice-based ability to be repeatedly reused for value, whilst also making its controller's artifacts difficult to permanently remove.
5 🍎 Birgi, God Of Storytelling
An incredibly potent Mono-Red commander, while Birgi, God of Storytelling is a modal-double faced card, its creature side greatly enables Cheerios decks. A 3/3 god for three mana, Birgi states that whenever its controller casts a spell, they add one red mana to their mana pool, with that mana not being emptied from their mana pool between phases. This means that zer-mana spells actually net mana when they're cast, serving as free mana ramp as long as Birgi is in play!
4 🍰 Galazeth Prismari
The founder of Prismari College of Strixhaven Gal𒁃azeth Prismari is an Izzet commander that provides value comparable to ⭕that of Birgi. A 3/4 dragon with flying for four mana, upon entering the battlefield, Galazeth Prismari creates a treasure token.
While treasure tokens are normally a one-time use affair, needing to be sacrificed in order to provide mana, Galazeth Prismari allows any artifacts under its owner's control to be tapped in order to produce one mana of any color. Though this creature does come with the caveat that this mana may only be used to cast instant and sorcery spells, turning one's zero-mana artifacts into reusable mana sources is incredibly powerful, even with this restriction.
3 Dargo, The Shipwrecꦏker And Jeska, Thrice Reborn 🎃
Dargo, the Shipwrecker and Jeska, Thrice Reborn are each 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mono-Red commanders with Partner that when paired together, can be an overwhelmingly aggressive Cheerios commander option that can be used to take an opponent out of the game as early as turn two or three. While Dargo is a 7/5 with trample for seven mana, for each artifact or creatire that is sacrificed to cast it, it's mana cost is effectively reduced by two. Within a Cherios deck, if a player is able to play three-zero mana artifacts within their opening hand, Dargo can be cast on the very first turn.
Meanwhile, while Jeska is a three-mana Planeswalker, the only ability it has that is relevant to this strategy is its 0 ability. When activated, its controller chooses a creature they control, causing it to deal triple damage the next time it would deal combat damage to a player. This means if Dargo is brought into play early via the use of zero-mana artifacts and then Jeska's 0 ability is used, a player can cause Dargo to deal twenty one damage, taking a player out of the game due to the "Commander Damage" rule.

This pairs quite well with effects that trigger from drawing cards, whilst also allowing a player to easily enable Storm-based win cons.

Firstly, Urza allows any artifacts its owner controls to be tapped for one blue mana, effectively offering the utility of Galazeth Prismari without the restriction of what types of spells that mana may be used to cast. While this is already impressive, Urza comes with a sink for that mana. For five mana, Urza's controller can shuffle their library, then exiling the top card. That player can then cast the exiled card without paying its mana cost. This means that by repeatedly playing zero-mana artifacts, an Urza player can create massive amounts of mana and then use said mana to repeatedly dig through their deck!
