Innistrad is by and large one of the most widely popular and celebrated planes in the multiverse of Magic: The Gathering. A world of gothic horror home to werewolves, vampires, and zombies, Magic is returning to Innistrad for the sixth full set taking place there with Innistrad: Midnight Hunt. Introducing several mechanics such as &🥀quot;Decayed," an ability that makes a creature more fragile, and D🎉aybound/Nightbound, a transformation-based mechanic tied to time.
As every set of Magic introduces a wide range of cards that are legal in the game's various formats, every set is sure to include several key cards that are likely to make an impact on the game at large. So today, we're going to see which cards from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt are the strongest!
10 ꧅ 🧔 The New Allied Lands
While the newly introduced cycle of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:allied lands has yet to be given an agreed-upon name, they are certainly a great addition to the game, especially for Standard and budget land bases for Commander. Deserted Beach, Haunted Ridge, Overgrown Farmland, Rockfall Vale, and Shipwreck Marsh, these lands each tap for one of two colors and enter the battlefield tapped unless that land's controller has two or more lands in play. This means as long as they aren't played within the first two turns of the game, they can reliably enter untapped and provide flexible fixing.
9 Vanquish The Horde ♈ 🃏
Blasphemous Act is a beloved red 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:board wipe that deals thirteeღn damage to all creatures. While the card has a steep mana cost, it c𝓡osts one mana less for each creature on the battlefield.
Vanquish the Horde is a new white board wipe with a great deal in common with Blasphemous Act. A white sorcery for six mana, Vanquish the hoard destroys all creatures in play, costing one less for each creature in play. This immediately make Vanquish the Horde one of the most mana-efficient white board wipes in the game's history.
8 Unnatural Growth 🐻 ꦦ
A five-mana green enchantment, Unnatural Growth is one of the most 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:characteristically pure green cards to see print in recent history. At the beginning of each combat, this card's controller doubles the power and toughness of each creature they control. This allows green's already enormous creatures to provide even more bulk and damage to overwhelm one's opponents.
7 Augur Of🌳 Autumn 🔜
Another green card, Augur of Autumn is a three-mana creature that can provide a great deal of extra card advantage. While the card's controller must play with the top card of their library revealed, providing their opponents with free information, they can play lands from the top of their library as though they were in their hand.
Additionally, thanks to the card's coven ability, as long as its controller controls three creatures with differing powers, they can play creatures off the top of their library as well!
6 🀅 𝔍 Bloodthirsty Adversary
Bloodthirsty Adversary is a red creature that provides more value to a player based on how much mana they're willing to invest in it. While this 2/2 vampire can be cast for two mana, its caster can also pay an additional three mana any number of times. Not only does this put that many +1/+1 counters on the card, but it also allows that many instants or sorceries with a mana value of three or less to be exiled from their graveyard, then casting copies of said exiled cards!
5 Tain💝ted Adversary
A fundamentally similar two-mana creature to the Bloodthirsty Adversary, the Tainted Adversary is a black creature from the same cycle of mythics. Alongside deathtouch and the same additional mana clause, while it enters with that many +1/+1 counters like its red counterpart, rather than exiling and copying cards from its controller's graveyard, this creature creates two 2/2 zombie tokens with decayed for each time the additional three mana was paid, allowing for an army of the undead to be amassed instantly!
4 Poppet Stitcher / Poppet F🧸actory
Poppet Stitcher is a mono-blue creature for three mana that is capable of easily turning a player's instants and sorceries into offensive creatures on the battlefield. Creating a black 2/2 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:zombie token with decayed whenever its controller casts an instant or sorcery, at the beginning of this card's owner's upkeep, if that player controls three or more tokens, Poppet Stitcher can be transformed.
Becoming a mono-blue enchantment called Poppet Factory, this enchantment states that all creature tokens under its owner's control lose all abilities and have base power and toughness of 3/3. This buffs all of the zombies made by the stitcher, turning them into respectable 3/3s that are no longer held back by decayed!
3 🍌 Teferi, Who Slows The Sunset
Teferi is a recurring Planeswalker known for having several notably powerful iterations, and the most recent, Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset, is no exception. An incredibly flexible card for four mana, this Azorius planeswalker's +1 allows its controller to choose up to one target artifact, up to one target creature, and up to one target land, untapping chosen permanents under its owner's control and tapping those controlled by opponents. WIth a -2 that can look at the top three cards of its owner's library, putting one in their hand, Teferi's ultimate ability allows its controller to untap all permanents they control during each opponent’s untap step, even drawing a card during their draw steps!
2 🅷 Wrenn And Seven
Few 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Planeswalkers in Magic's history have been given the four-ability treatment, and each in the past has been notably powerful. The most recent of such Planeswalkers, Wrenn and Seven is an incredible mono-green Planeswalker that can make great use of lands. Capable of filtering lands from the top of its owner's library into their hand, this card's 0 ability allows any number of lands to be put from its controller's hand directly into play tapped! Once a plethora of lands have been put into play, Wrenn's -3 ability can create a token with reach that has power and toughness equal to the amount of lands its owner controls. If these abilities aren't useful enough, this card's ultimate ability can remove its controller's maximum hand size and return all cards from their graveyard to their hand!
1 The Meathook Massacre ꧂
An immediate staple in the Commander format, The Meathook Massacre is a legendary black enchantment that can be played for two black mana and X. Upon entering the battlefield, each creature gets -X/-X until end of turn, functioning as a flexible and controllable board wipe. While this is solid in its own right, this card also states that whenever a creature its owner controls dies, each of its opponents loses one life, while whenever a creature controlled by an opponent dies, this card's controller gains one life. This allows the Meathook Massacre to simultaneously function as a board wipe and akin to an effect like that of the ever-popular Blood Artist.
