What Is Boast?
Boast is an activated abilitꦜy found exclusively on creatures that can only be used if it has attacked that turn. These abilities can range from the minor, like Duskwielder's gain and drain, to the major, like Draugr Recruiter returning creatures from the graveyar🔜d to your hand.
In Magic, whether or not a creature has at🎃tacked is based on whether it was declared as an attacker during the Declare Attackers step. At any point after this, you can activate a creature's Boast ability, whether that's before blockers have been declared or right at your end step.
The catch with Boast is that, unless specified otherwise, each creature can ಌonly do it once per 🍬turn. This means you're rewarded for having creatures survive combat for maximum value on later turns.
How To Use Boast
Boast is a great mecha💖nic for aggro decks who would be attacki🌌ng anyway.
Some cards that like other creatures boasting include Frenzies Raider, who gets a +1/+1 counter whenever a creature boasts, Dragonkin Berserker, who reduced the boast cost for each dragon you control (befor❀e making even more dragons with his own Boast ability), and Birgi, God of Storytelling, which allows each creature to boast twice instead of just once each turn.
With the right creatures, Boast can be a ဣuseful tool in combat-focused control decks as well. Gol🤡dmaw Champion can tap down potential blockers, and Eradicator Valkyrie can force each opponent to sacrifice a creature or Planeswalker.
To make the most of Boast, always remember you can activate the ability before damage is calculated, either at the end of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Declare Attackers step or during the Declare Blockers step in combat. There are lots of boasters who can buff themselves, like Axgard Braggart, Ar👍ni Brokenbrow, and Fearless Pup, or even buff other creatures, like Battershield Warrior, that benefit from Boasting as soon as you possibly can.
