The in-universe reprints of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic The Gathering's Secret Lair x Stranger Things cards have been revealed, giving players who didn't buy the original 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Secret Lair promotion a chance to get the c🐽ards stripped o♈f their Stranger Things-ness.
While we knew they were coming with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Streets of New Capenna, Wizards has unveiled that every card from last year's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Secret Lair x Stranger Things will be getting an Innistrad-themed mak🤡eover, as one final goodbye to the setting we spent a lot of last year in.
In 2020, Wizards released Secret Lair x The Walking Dead, which controversially printed mechanically unique cards as part of a limited-time promotion. After unanimous backlash, Wizards later promised it would be reprinting new versions of any mechanically unique 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Universes Beyond cards in Setಞ boosters approꦗximately six months after the Secret Lair had ended.
While we've not yet seen 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Walking Dead cards return just yet, last year's Secret Lair x Stranger Things cards will be reprinted in Streets of New Capenna's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:set boosters, with brand new Innistrad-themed names and art.
As revealed on the stream, the cards are:
- Cecily, Haunted Mage (Eleven, the Mage)
- Bjorna, Nightfall Alchemist (Lucas, the Sharpshooter)
- Arvinox, the Mind Flail (Mind Flayer, the Shadow)
- Wernog, Rider's Chaplain (Will the Wise)
- Sophina, Spearsage Deserter (Chief Jim Hopper)
- Othelm, Sigardian Outcast (Mike, the Dungeon Master)
- Hargilde, Kindly Runechanter (Dustin, Gadget Genius)
- Elmar, Ulvenwald Informant (Max, the Daredevil)
- Havengul Laboratory//Havengul Mystery (Hawkins National Laboratory//The Upside Down)
One very important thing to note is that, unlike the Ikoria: Lair of Behemoth Godzilla cards, or Innistrad: Crimson Vow's Dracula cards, these make absolutely no reference to their Stranger Things origins. Despite that, the rules will still be treating them as the exact same card: Eleven, the Mage and Cecily, Haunted Mage are seen as the same game piece as far as "name a card" effects like Pithing Needle or Runed Halo go, and both. In most formats, you'll only be allowed a total of four of either card, while in Commander it will still be just one.
These cards will be printed in Streets of New Capenna's set boosters as part of The List; a collection reprint cards included as a special bonus in certain packs. These will appear much more frequently than other List cards, appearing in approximately one in eight set boosters.
Streets of New Capenna, and these new Stranger Things-less Stranger 🐓Things cards, will launch on April 29 for tabletop play, an🌠d April 28 for digital.
