All four of the Commander decks from Lost Caverns of Ixalan are designed around a theme, and Ahoy Mateys is all about Pirates. This blue, black, and red deck is helmed by Admiral Brass, Unsinkable, which ensures that all your Pirat🍸es don’t stay dead for long. This deck comes with some great reprints too, including Pitiless Plunderer and Black Market Connections to bee𒆙f up your collection.

Brass fills your graveyard and then lets you bring 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pirates from your graveyard back to play with a finality counter on it, so if it dies again it's gone forever but gets a bit of an upgrade to its stats at the same time. Much of the deck is dedicated to stealing your opponent's cards but it doesn't fully commit to the strategy. Dinosaurs have been popular ever since they were made a major creature type last time Magic visited Ixalan and with the Veloci-Ramp-Tor, you can power your Dinosaur creatures out faster than ever before. This red, green, and white deck pulls its strength from its commander, Pantlazaও, Sun-Favored, a legendary creature devoted to the new discover mechanic.

This ability lets you exile the top card of your deck anytime a Dinosaur enters the battlefield under your control until you find a card with a mana value equal to or costs less than that Dinosaur’s toughness. You get to cast that card𓄧 for free or add it to your hand.

Helping Pantlaza out are tons of Dinosaurꦚs with high toughness and powerful abilities. Dinosaurs like Curious Altisaur, a new Dinosaur that draws you cards when a Dinosaur creature you control deals damage to an opponent, and Scion of Calamity, which makes copies of itself anytime it attacks. Since Pantlaza triggers off of tokens as well as regular creatures, you can get tons of free spells each turn with a little dedication to a token strategy.

The Veloci-Ramp-Tor deck does come with a few good reprints too, including the versatile Akroma's Will, Xenagos, God of Revels, a god that turns one of your creatures into a massive threat, and the fighting machine that is Apex Altisaur with its enrage ability.

One Sacrifice Now For Power Later

You can’t kill what is already dead, and with the Vampire-heavy Blood Rite preconstructed deck, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to keep turning your living dead army against your opponents. Leading the charge is Clavileño, First of the Blessed, a white and black Vampire that changes an attacking Vampire that isn’t already a Demon, into one. Clavileño also gives them a second ability that if that creature dies, y𒈔ou get a 4/3 token with flying and you draw a card.

All you have to do to trigger this ability is attack, and with a swarm of Vampires overrunnin🐷g the battlefield, you’ll be able to buff your army time and time again. If you prefer a slower, more grindy deck, you can always go with Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. This Vampire capitalizes on your opponent&rsq♊uo;s plays by getting +1/+1 on it and giving you one life anytime any player sacrifices a permanent. Then you can reanimate any permanent in your graveyard if its mana value is less than Carmen’s power when she෴ attacks.

Speaking of sacrificing things, the Blood Rite deck gives you all sorts of ways to punish your oppone🐷nts and build your board off of those sacrifices. Cards like Bartolomé del Presidio, Butcher of Malakir, and Yahenni, Undying Partisan all provide outlets to sacrifice your creatures while hurting your opponents.

Three powerful reprints make the Blood Rite deck a good pick for players. One piece of the life-stealing combo, Exquisite Blood, comes in the deck, and while it doesn’t have the other card of the combo, it's still a great reprint. Elenda, the Dusk Rose is an incredibly efficient token generator, getting stronger anytime any creature dies, and then turning them into more tokens for you when she dies. Then there’s New Blood, a very specific card that lets you take control of a creature an opponent controls, but is one of the few ways to permanently steal creatures without access to red or blue mana.

Taking the top slot for Commander decks from Lost Caverns of Ixalan is the Explorers of the Deep, a Merfolk-focused, blue and gr𓃲een deck that can quickly overwhelm your opponents. Taking the Merfolk to victory is Hakbal of the 🌌Surging Soul, who helps accelerate explore and landfall effects to put you ahead in the game.

At the start of your combat step, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all your Merfolk creatures explore, revealing the top card of your library and putꦜting it into your hand if its a land, or giving that Merfolk a +1/+1 counter and then letting you choose to keep it on top of your deck or into your graveyard. There are all sorts of creatures with Lord effects in this deck, creatures that give your other Merfolk +1/+1 and sometimes other abilities too. The majority of the deck is dedicated to making your Merfolk as powerful as possible, boosting them with better stats and abilities to create a very synergistic deck.

On top of all that, are a few well-deserved reprints are included in the Explorers of the Deep deck that elevates it above the rest. Branching Evolution increases the number of +1/+1 counters you would place on your creatures, making your explore trigꦫgers twice as good. Another god, Thassa, God of the Sea, provides insight into your next draw by letting you scry one at the start of your turn and then can tap down problematic creatures coming your way. And finally, one of the better Merfolk commanders to ever be printed, Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca, is also included in case you want to swap out commanders, giving you some incredible power in the Command Zone.
