As anyone who has been keeping even half an eye on Magic: The Gathering will no doubt know, it's going all-in on crossove♊rs and collabs over the next few years. WotC has seen massive success with Lord of the Rings, Fallout, and F𝓀inal Fantasy (just to name a few), and that's just scratching the surface.

Wizards Of The Coast Has Finally Showcased MTG's First Avatar Card

And It's Exactly Who You Think It'd Be

Coming November 21, 2025 mtg.social/atla #MTGxATLA —

Over on the official Magic: The Gathering Bluesky account, several massive announcements were just made, such as Edge of Eternities Lands being repඣrinted. As exciting as that is, though, the biggest reveal♓ was for the upcoming Avatar set, which is confirmed to be releasing on November 21.

Of course, the character that Wotc chose to debut the set with is the o🌳ne we're all thinking of right now - Aang, the titular Last Airbender himself. The card revealed is a double-faced one, as Aang starts out as Avatar Aang, a Legendary Creature - Human Avatar Ally who can💜 then transform into Aang, Master of Elements, a Legendary Creature - Avatar Ally.

Beyond giving us our first look at the Avatar set, the Aang card has also teased how the bending mechanics will work. It's not quite enough to go on just yet, but it is inꦉteresting to sꦓee how some of the cards in the set are going to be used.

To transform Avatar Aang, you'll have to waterbend, earthbend, firebend, and airbend in one turn, which lets you flip the card and utilise Aang, Master of Elements. This version of the card can be upkeep to gain four life, dra🥃w four cards, and put four +1/+1 counters on him. So far, he seems as powerful as the Last Airbender should be.
