Originally introduced in Throne of Eldraine, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Adventures are special types of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering cards that may be cast cast as two different spells: a permanent straight onto the battlefield, or as an instant or sorcery that resolves into exile that allows you to play the permanent side from it later on. This effectively allows Adventures to function as two cards at once, providing them with a substantial degree of flexib🦂ility.

Though this type of card hadn't been seen since Throne of Eldrain, Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate introduced several fun new Adventures to the game, even including Adventure-focused commanders in Gorion, Wise Mentor and Lozhan, Dragons' Legacy. Here are the strongest playable Adventures in the Commander format.

5 ꩵ Hor💦n of Valhalla

A boy blowing on a horn

A white card perfect for any 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:token-based Commander deck, the Horn of Valhalla is a two-mana artifact that can alternatively be cast as a sorcery speed adventure called Ysgard's Call. For two mana and X generic, Ysgard's Call is rather straightforward, creating X 1/1 white soldier tokens.

If cast from exile or just played normally, the Horn of Valhalla is an equipment with an equip cost of three mana, providing an equipped creature with +1/+1 for each creature under its owner's control. This heavily incentivizes a player to cast this card as Ysgard's Call, then playing the Horn on a subsequent turn to maximize the value this artifact provides to the equipped creature.

4 ꧋ Murderous Rider 🌺

Printed in Throne of Eldraine, Murderous Rider is a black card that can double as both solid removal and a passable creature.

A 2/3 Zombie Knight with lifelink for three mana, Murderous Rider is put on the bottom of its owner's library if it dies. While this creature isn't much to write home about by itself, its instant speed Adventure, Swift End is a great form of removal for three mana, destroying target creature or Planeswalker at the cost of two life.

This means that by using an already solid removal option, a player can gain additional value through casting this ca♊rd as a crea🦩ture after the fact.

It's important that if Murderous Rider's controller is capable of returning it to their hand, such as with an Into the Roil, they can easily re-cast Swift End for potentially repeatable removal,

3 Tlincalli H🔯unter

Tlincalli Hunter

Tlincalli Hunter is an impressive card capable of providing great value for decks aiming to utilize effects that allow spells to be cast from exile, such as those that provide 'impulsive draw'. T

lincalli Hunter's Adventure, Retrieve Prey, is a solid green sorcery for two mana, exiling a creature from its controller's graveyard and allowing that card to be cast until the end of its opponent's next turn. While this effect functions as solid recursion, it pairs quite well with Tlincalli Hunter's default creature form.

Though costly at seven mana, Tlincalli Hunter is a green 7/7 Scorpion Scout with trample that states, that its controller may pay zero mana rather than the mana c🃏ost of the 🔥first creature that player casts from exile each turn.

This means that as long as Tlincalli Hunter's controller is putting creatures into exile with 'impulsive draw' effects, or through any other creature with an Adventure, they can play said creatures without paying their mana costs.

While it may be difficulꦐt to pull off due to requiring nine mana, casting Retrieve Prey and Tlincalli Hunter within the same turn essentially allows a player to return a creature from their graveyard whilst simultaneously gaining ac🌺cess to a 7/7 with trample.

2 ﷽ Alt💦ar of Bhaal

Altar of Bhaal

A powerful new black artifact from Battle for Baldur's Gate for black decks looking to make the most of their graveyard, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Altar of Bhaal is a powerful asset that can allow impactful creatures to bꦍe cheated into play from the graveyard.

For two mana, this artifact has a three-mana activated ability that allows the Altar to be tapped to exile a creature under its owner's control in order to return any creature from their graveyard to the battlefield. If a player is able to fill their graveyard through either 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:self-mill or discarding effects, this can potentially be used to s🌊ubvert the high mana co🍎sts of impactful creatures.

Though not nearly as impactful as the Altar itself, the sorcery speed Adventure attached to Altar of Bhaal, Bone Offering, can be cast for three mana, creating a 4/1 skeleton token with menace. While this is far from flashy, it can be used to ensure the Altar's controller has at least one creature to exile once it's in play.

1 🐻 Monster Manual ✱

Magic: The Gathering Monster Manual full card with background

Monster Manual is an impressive green artifact with a lot to appreciate. Costing four mana to cast, and two more for this artifact's activated ability, Monster Manual allows you to play a creature from your hand directly into play in an effect reminescent of the popular Commander card Elvish Piper. Once in play, Monster Manual allows you to repeatedly cheat the most costly of mana values.

While this effect is already solid in its own right, its Adventure can be used to set up this ability. A sorcery for three mana, Zoological Study allows its controller to mill five cards, returning a creature milled this way to its owner's hand. If cast prior to the Manual, Zoological Study can provide a player with the ability to dig deeper into their deck, searching for high-value creatures.

As Commander is a format rife with massive splashy creatures, there are man✃y decks that would love to have a Monster Manual.
