This version of Rakdos is a powerful creature, just like his other printings. Its ability to sacrifice another creature you control and exile cards from the top of your library seems good, especially because it makes Rakdos indestructible. However, this is ultimately a little too 🐲"win more&qu📖ot; to be consistent.

To get the most out of this effect, you need to have another high mana-cost creature in play already. Additionally, if you're out of cards and need to use the effect to refill your hand, the opponent can remove Rakdos at instant speed in response.

8 M𒀰assacre Girl

Double Kill, Triple Kill, Overkill

Sweepers are powerful cards, but it's often difficult to steal the tempo of the game away from the opponent while using them. This is because almost all sweepers worth playing hit your side of the battlefield as well. Massacre Girl is an exception to this rule.

Since she's a creature, Massacre Girl allows you to come out ahead on board. Granted, it can be difficult to set her up for a full board wipe, but it's not as hard as you might think. Menace also goes a long way towards ensuring Massacre Girl cracks in for some damage.

Lastly, this is a sweeper that can't be countered by Negate, which can easily catch opponents by surprise.

7 𓃲 Gisa, The Hellraiser

Ain't No Party Like A Zombie Rogue Party

Despite being a Warlock herself♑, Gisa is a Skeleton and Zombie lord💯 capable of creating a slew of Zombie Rogue tokens as long as you continue committing crimes.

Five mana is a lot for a lord effect, and Gisa's susceptibility to removal should be noted; however, her ward ability goes a long way toward keeping her on the battlefield long enough to get a committed crime trigger.

If you cast Gisa on a turn later than five, it's easy enough to commit a crime right after she enters the battlefield. Additionally, the power and toughness bonus she offers provides immediate value if you have Skeletons or Zombies under your control. Assuming Gisa remains on the battlefield, you'll likely take over the game. That's what we want from our bombs.

6 Prosper, T💛ome-Bound

A favorite of Rakdos commander players, Prosper rewards you with additional cards and mana as long as you keep him alive. Thankfully, his four toughness goes a long way toward making this dream a reality. It's important to know that although Prosper is a good blocker thanks to deathtouch, blocking exposes him to most removal spells.

As a result, it's often better to let an attack through rather than risk losing Prosper to a post-combat removal spell or combat trick. The longer he remains on the battlefield, the more you will pull ahead in card and mana advantage. It's best to keep this Warlock safe.

5 ꧒ Opposꦓition Agent

Nice Land You Got There

This Pirate needs no introductions. Ragavan is so good that it has been banned in the Historic and Legacy format𒀰s. Just about every deck playing red in any other format Ragavan is legal in should include him.

Ragavan's ability to avoid removal thanks to dash coupled with the fact that he generates mana and card advantage is simply too good to ignore. Who would have thought a Monkey would be one of the best Pirates in the Magic multiverse?

Again proving the overwhelming power of the Modern Horizons 2 set, Dauthi Voidwalker is a nearly unblockable threat that also turns off the opponent's graveyard.
